Visited the gym on a guest pass with a friend. Great equipment, not overcrowded, lovely venue (after you find your way through the rabbit warren of corridors!). Enjoyed it and will be back

Hotel, staff and restaurant excellent we will stay again.

Attended friend's wedding here. The whole day was perfect. The waiters were great as it is table service only still. The waitress looking after our table did an amazing job of keeping us watered.:)
We booked a premier room, which was spacious and clean, although about 6 miles away from the breakfast restaurant. :)

Nice hotel, friendly staff ... Our room was next to a large air conditioning unit so noise for most of the night.... annoying, and frustrating menu ok but not brilliant....hence 4 stars

Comfortable rooms in friendly and helpful staff. Especially one certain member of the waiting staff but they were all very good. Food was extremely edible!

The venue is so lovely, in a really relaxing setting. The staff are genuinely friendly and so attentive. The rooms have been recently refurbished to a very high standard. The food is of such high quality and so, so tasty. The spa, staff and treatments are fabulous. Such a wonderful place to get away and chill out. This was our second visit and we can't wait to return 😍

My friend and I stayed for one night at this hotel and we just couldn’t recommend it enough and here’s why…
We arrived around 11am from Warwickshire and tried to checkin in the off chance that our room was ready. Being 4hrs earlier than the checkin time, the lovely receptionist on duty on Mon 21st Jun has kindly explained that although the room is not ready, she’ll kindly ask her colleagues to have this done for us, since we arrived earlier - she was ever so nice! (I’m sorry I don’t remember her name).
We had some spa treatments booked and upon arrival, a lovely lady called Anne welcomed us and checked us in for our treatments. The spa manager, Dan, came to say hi and he offered us some drinks which were served by another lovely lady called Jackie! My friend had her treatment booked on Mon afternoon and mine was booked on Tue morning. We explained to Dan that it would be ever so helpful to have both treatments on Mon afternoon, so we can go and explore the area the following morning. Not only he managed to squeeze in my treatment, but he very kindly offered us lunch, without us even having had a booking for this - how very thoughtful!! The cleanliness of the facilities, friendliness of the staff and the quality of the facilities were great too!! So nevertheless to say that our say was going from good to great so far!
After our treatments, we went to checkin to our bedroom and the receptionist from the late shift has given us a lovely welcome, booked us dinner, breakfast and explained a little bit about the hotel (unfortunately, I can’t remember her name). We went to our room, which was a beautiful large room, recently refurbished, very fresh, clean and the bed & pillows were extremely comfortable too!
We were then welcomed for dinner in the restaurant by Krishna, who showed us to our table, being very friendly and nice. Christopher then looked after us for the rest of the night and we enjoyed every part of the dinner! Krishna mentioned that all the team on duty that night were new to the hotel, but oh my God - what a fantastic job everyone is doing! Thank you to all the restaurant team!
The following morning for breakfast, we were welcomed by yet another lovely lady, called Edwena who very kindly served our tea & coffee and got us some nice fresh toast. She explained how the breakfast works at the moment and she gave us the time and space to enjoy breakfast, although someone was always on hand if we needed anything.
All in all, we had such a great stay, spa break and left feeling recharged and ready to return to the daily life!
The hotel has some fantastic staff, great facilities, looking very nice, fresh and loves following an extensive refurbishment!
We can not wait to come back and enjoy more of the northern hospitality! Thank you for a lovely break team Dunk!!

All amenities listed were available, quite a standard room, didn't really look like the pictures shown, however was a pleasant stay, with nice views from room.

2 night Wellness Spa Break
PROS: Helpful Staff; Tidy room/bathroom; Bathroom was new; Good view; Spa facilities was excellent; Spa treatment on the first day was very relaxing and very experienced beauty therapist; Swimming pool was clean, warmed and wasn’t over chloride; Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful; the quality of some of the food for dinner was good such as the chicken/beef burgers and the salmon.
CONS: The spa treatment on the second day felt rushed and not so relaxing; limited menu which is understandable; breakfast wasn’t that great; some parts of the building is outdated such as the corridor, walls, room carpet etc; We were placed quite far from the spa which meant we had to walk through the whole building.
We’d happily stay again however a full refurbishment would make the experience a lot better.

Had to make an amendment to my booking and Sarah on reception was so helpful, patient and friendly. Nothing I asked was too much trouble. We loved our overnight stay, the room, the doa, the pamper, the evening meal and all the staff in each section was exceptional. Thanks

This hotel was absolutely lovely! Staff Especially fella called aziz too guy showed some history about the hotel, real nice man. Rooms were very clean great beds too, lesuire and gym were all clean and really good too. Cannot fault this hotel at all. Food was excellent too, that's why I gave it 5 stars. Definitely stay again

A little let down on this visit. Not able to book in hotel restaurant and bar snacks not available! Seemed to be running on very limited staff who were all trying there best to accommodate. Waited 2 hours for more teas and coffees after going to reception for the same. I know it is difficult times for hospitality but the breakfast ran smoothly with the numbers staying in the hotel so a little surprised the restaurant couldnt accommodate us.

Location is great. We had a walk to the hare an hounds pub for dinner. Was only 15 mins or so, an that was after a few drinks. Our room was nice inside, but having to walk through the bar / restaurant to get to it on arrival with your cases seems weird. Our room was located right next to the exit of the bar. So you could hear everyone coming out when the bar closed. Also please check you haven't been charged twice. I was rang shortly after we left, saying my card had been declined (luckily) otherwise I would of been charged twice. I paid on arrival like I always do, an then to get a phone call saying my card declined when they tried to take payment is just bad. It's very easy to mark a bill has paid on the system. Had they of taken the second payment i'd of been waiting a week for them to refund it. An then to be told we'll call you back when we have found out what has happened an then to hear NOTHING at all, not even an apology is terrible.

Well worth the visit. Staff are lovely.

Lovely place,nice helpful staff. Lovely pool for a dip. Hotel spotless throughout and the room was the same,all covid rules being adhered to so felt very safe. Food again was very nice both breakfast and dinner. Definitely will be visiting again in the future.

Lovely place, but had to go twice to reception to ask for toilet rolls and coffee, sugar, milk. Also menu for dinner was very limited, as was cooked breakfast, not catered for enough people, when they should have numbers as bookings are required.

Was a nice place, staff tried hard to keep everyone social distancing. Food was nice had buffet meal not loads of choice but was ok. Pool is ok size not massive but enough room ,changing rooms and free lockers plenty of showers
Had a standard room and it was probably one of biggest we've stayed in, the bed was huge so big we got list in it
Only downside to whole weekend end was not a lot of draught beer choice and or room was next to a door that banged a bit when people went through it but all in all worth going 👍
