Broke down on the M65 at 6am. Managed to get my car into the Dunkenhalgh hotel, the two male members of staff on reception were absolutely brilliant until I left at 10am. I wasn't a hotel guest but they made sure I wasn't stood outside in the cold and allowed access to the hotel facilities.

I asked a night before if they did birthday cakes which they said no but said would organise something on desert just to wish my husband a happy birthday which they didn't do πŸ˜₯. The room was very spacious and big but in the toilet there was no soap holder. Also I couldn't increase the temperature of the water as it was luke warm. The door to the room was dirty. Staff were friendly though they disappointed me on the birthday thing

Firstly to note is parking requires payment (thankfully not this time).
Upon checking in we were told Spa and sauna was closed apparently due to a leak?! But it has been shut for months, which was disappointing and not good enough!
ALOT of the areas of the hotel require decoration, the rooms were nice but the beds weren't very comfortable. No biscuits were left with the minimal coffee / tea trays and again minimal bath / shower items in bathroom.
In the bar in there were issues with charging drinks to the room as although it had been done at reception, it hadn't been done correctly on system??
At Breakfast the staff were friendly and food was nice but minimal.
All in all our stay was ok but definitely had better and paid less.

First experience not so great but that was circumstance.. 2nd complimentary stay much better although we were promised an upgrade due to the previous stay.. it wasn't an upgrade but the food in the restaurant is actually fantastic and coming from me that is a really good review I loved every minute of the restaurant experience there.

Absolutely gorgeous place. We attended a wedding last week. I found it the best wedding venue so far. Must visit again.

Plumbing poor in bathroom, not all lights working in the room. Nice and clean though. Breakfast was really bad, not even the continental was good. Evening meals were also poor.

Popped in for a cup of tea with a friend after a swim. Was over the moon when our server Asiz went the extra mile for us. Customer service was amazing ☺️

We went for a spa day on a wowcher and had such a super time!
The staff are fabulous, the afternoon tea was gorgeous, the facilities were clean and enjoyable although a little rabbit Warren to find our way back to the lockers. We had the facial treatment, I felt the offer should of been body feet or hands.
We had to look around the 700 year old gorgeous building and it's grounds- great day out.
I would highly recommend!!

A spa day as part of my daughters birthday celebrations. Afternoon tea was amazing (and also great option for my niece who has lactose intolerance )
Must mention Sam who helped to arrange our day and for his attention during our visit...very professional . Thanks Sam
