The staff were so helpful. Check in was a breeze (they have disabled the car parking charge so that's good, not sure I would pay £10 to park up overnight). We booked via Groupon and had a meal in with the deal. The meal was exceptional, Krishna was brilliant, he was so attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. He was also at breakfast and again everyone was on the ball. Breakfast was very good and the choice amazing.
We had room 613, bit of a walk to get there but it was worth it. Very clean. Water was very hot. Bed was very comfy. Large screen tv, what more could you ask for.
The spa was very busy so we did not go in.
Highly recommended.

Visited for stop over for a friend's birthday celebration. Servjce was good. Food at the celebration was very nice and the restaurant food was excellent in the evening. Reaskn for low score was breakfast disappointing and no heating in our room it was freezing had to get z heater from reception but the bathroom was still very cold.

Hubby treated me to 2 Nights stay for my birthday. Stayed in Executive Suite was luvly and clean. Staff where great and helpful. Sent Champagne Birthday Breakfast to my room wiv a birthday card. Will defo be coming back

Very friendly staff, reasonable food and nice rooms. Only issue was that the heater in the room didn't work and when reported to reception no one came to sort out the issue.

Stayed here Thursday night. Arrived at 19.00, booked in, dropped our bags off in our large, clean room, bathroom very large with a small towel radiator and met relatives in the bar. Sara serving behind the bar was more interested in taking and looking at her male friend's phone that we felt a burden to her that we had to ask her to concentrate on serving our drinks. When he left we went up to the bar again for more drinks, Sara came over, went behind the bar and walked to the restaurant without saying anything to us, eg I will be back in a minute etc. Felt she needed a crash course on communication and dealing with customers. We had read reviews prior to booking and yes this place at times were cold but it is an old building with tall ceilings and took our coats with us, I'm sure in warmer times it would be a totally different stay. Food was good at Breakfast and the waiters very pleasant.

Being the first time in many years we was excited to stay away in a hotel. Our room was lovely the dressing robes were rock hard & made me giggle I’m not a huge girl but it only just fit around me! Great touch with the slippers! The room was freezing cold we tried to get the heating to come on with no luck we rang the reception who said they were sending someone we waiting a hour but as we was going to a family wedding evening do we couldn’t wait much longer. We used the shower when we got back where we realised it was leaking in the floor. The bed was so comfy!! I slept amazing I didn’t want to get up for breakfast 😫 the breakfast was lovely I had healthy fruit & musli hubby had full English loads of coffee tea serviced! Staff were amazing so friendly hopefully.
The coffee in the room wasn’t great so I’m looking forward to a superb coffee when I’m home. ☕️ Would I stay here again yes!!

Met up with a very good friend.
I had a Cappuccino whilst my friend Allan had a Latte.
It has a very good ambience and relaxing decor and although it is near the motorway and another busy road it oozed an air of tranquillity.

Fabulous 80s 90s 00s night for a group of 17 people on a hen do . Staff very helpful and accommodating. Everyone was impressed with the food served and the meals came out hot and at the same time . Good selection of drinks behind bar .venue really clean. The morning of the hen I dropped off table decorations and party props to be put out for the evening party and also dropped off things to be put in the bride to be’s room to surprise her on checking in . The staff did a fab job with sorting it all, nothing was to much for trouble for them and all done with a polite friendly smile . Will definitely use Dunkenhalgh hotel and spa, Blackburn again . Thanks to all the staff who made the special celebration really enjoyable for everyone. We will be back x

Had a good 1 night stay. Chose the hotel because of the Pool, there are children swimming hours (8-10:30am & 5-7pm). Enjoyed an evening swim and meal in the restaurant. At Breakfast, Aziz is a credit to the Hotel, he is very warm and makes you feel welcome. Returned for a swim but shame that the children could not stay in longer. Only downer was rowdy wedding guests making a noise even past 1am, I know that’s not the hotel’s fault but it feels like they don’t care about your custom when they place you so close to such guests where they can anticipate they will be making noise.

Paid same price for our room that our parents did and theirs was twice the size. Also, we were above karaoke that went till 1am. Didn't book room last minute and reception didn't warn us this would be taking place. Also reported a heating fault to reception and they didn't turn up when they said they would. Otherwise a lovely hotel

Very cold in the hallways and ways to the rooms lack of heating all over including the rooms smell of damp in most of the the hallways, pool was like ice but the staff and hospitality was amazing and welcoming, food is outstanding would dofo come in the summer time winter and cold spells a no
