Just had 2nd dinner of our stay . A busy dining room staffed by the most amazing professional staff I have had the pleasure to meet . Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, professional and all with a focus on customer care. I work at management level customer service which is challenging at times . All the staff are a credit to you . Served tonight by Chloe, Sara and Amanda to mention by name but delighted and impressed by all staff around hotel . Nothing too much, always met with a smile . I know you think it’s their job but trust me not everyone can make it look easy whilst enabling a professional attention that makes you feel heard and respected . We are So relaxed , feeling very contented. The food was delicious. Thank you Chef . Hotel and spa has 10/10 magical weekend with my daughter . Facilities experienced with delight . An absolute gem . Thank you all

We had a lovely stay very relaxing Chloe in the restaurant couldn’t do enough for us and was always smiling and actually apologised when very busy for not giving us as much attention. Lovely smiles. The hotel was nice and clean comfortable beds

From the drive up to the hotel, to the grounds to the rooms everything was spot on. The staff were all so lovely and attentive, really polite. And the spa services, OMG! I came for a solo spa weekend to relax and unwind after a particularly stressful period and this certainly did the job.
The only thing I would make a suggestion for would be spa brochures with the treatments available, and room service menus in the rooms.

Lovely period building. Reception welcoming, bar small but well stocked, service/cocktails a little slow.

Room spacious but run down, missing elements from a 4* accommodation, no mini bar or water available in room. Maintenance issues throughout, ironing board broken and unstable, TV didn’t work at all and would not power on. Holes in wall patched and painted amateurish and obvious, bathroom extractor removed and hole covered by a grate coming away from the wall. No cold water coming out of the taps/shower only options were tepid or scorching.

Room was located directly next to a function room which had a very lively Indian wedding party until the early hours, however rooms were well soundproofed and no noise from the function disturbed.

Breakfast in the morning wasn’t worth the abhorrent fee for a poor buffet, bacon overcooked, sausages poor quality, scrabbled eggs from a packet over cooked, coffee machine temperamental, no black pudding, poached eggs or eggs benedict only available at additional fee.

Didn’t visit the spa due to no treatments available when booking which was a shame as we wanted to spend the following day being pampered through our hangover before travelling home.

Stayed at Dunkenhalgh hotel & spa when celebrating our wedding anniversary. Excellent service by all staff we met, including check in/out, we dined in Cameo restaurant for dinner & breakfast & I also received a lovely relaxing spa treatment. Special mention to Anne & Kieran who were welcoming & helpful. Easy to get to as near to M65. Room spotless & bed very comfortable . Tea/coffee available in room & much appreciated. Good value & we look forward to visiting again. Would recommend this hotel .

Lovely hotel, but a shame about our evening meal. Steak not cooked to liking even when asked to cook some more as order well done and it was red. Service slow, felt meal was over priced for what we had. Spa staff where friendly and facilities were nice.

As a beauty club and leisure member I visit the Dunkenhalgh 4-5 days a week. I love Ella’s special treatments and Demi is a delightful staff member. Demi is always pleasant and willing to help and is most efficient. She has a lovely personality and is a well loved member of staff especially among the aqua ladies. Well done Demi.

Recently stayed here for the start of our honeymoon. Priya who checked us in was incredibly professional and helpful. On the way to our room we got a bit lost and another staff member promptly helped us with our bags and showed us to our room. The room was huge, nicely decorated, and comfortable. Lovely place to stay with some amazing countryside to explore.

From the get go the staff were so welcoming. From start to finish me and my mum had the best experience with the multiple steam rooms and sunas and soaking up the calm relaxing atmosphere around the pool. We had the afternoon tea, I cannot recommend enough! All dietary requirements were met to beyond expectations with the best gluten free options I have ever received with the variety of cakes and sandwiches. We finished off with the facial, I had Alisha who was amazing start to finish, so friendly and informative my skin had never looked this good! 10/10 recommendation.

Excellent corporate & holiday country house in Blackburn. Thg food in the restaurant is excellent. More basic good traditional food served in the bar.
Avoid rooms 60 + in the end of the courtyard. Smart friendly staff. Nice grounds ample parking.

We were on a coach holiday.
The bedrooms were spacious and very clean. Tea and coffee available and more given when asked. The toiletries were quite good.
Reception staff were always polite and very helpful and on hand throughout the day and night.
The restaurant staff were amazing and rushed off their feet. however not the food! The evening meal arrived cold on several occasions, which considering we were asked to choose the night before what we required the following night, there isn't really an excuse food food not to be hot. Also not any organisation on giving out the meals - just staff wandering around asking who has ordered what and considering the ages of some of the coach they more likely just didn't hear them! In fact I would say the food was poor quality.
In fact I felt sorry for the staff trying to manage something so unorganised and managing to be polite and considerate at the same time.

Had a very pleasant stay at The Dunkenhalgh for one night. Rooms were clean and large. All staff were friendly. We ate at the hotel’s restaurant and the food was nice although menu rather limited. A very helpful staff member called Isabel offered to bring us the bar menu to increase our choice and this was particularly well received by my daughter who is somewhat fussy. Had a good night’s sleep - our rooms were well away from a wedding reception that was taking place and were therefore nice and quiet. Short relaxing break - just what we needed.

My sister and I stayed for 4nights as part of a coach party, the room was lovely and clean and spacious the staff were polite and friendly, the food was delicious and given plenty of choice the hotel inside and out is beautiful, and we made use of the gym and spa which was a added bonus. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Dunkenhalgh hotel and spa, thank you for a great stay,

we went with Crosskeys coach company from the 18th to 22nd august. and met and greeted by Neil, and taken to our room 108 by Lily who was very helpful, as i was pushing my wife in her wheelchair. the room was spacious clean and tidy. only downside was the toilet seat as it was too low for my disabled wife, to get down on to it. also could do with a hand rail to get out the shower. apart from that no complaints, the bed was comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful. the cleaners came in each day to clean and leave clean towels.
the staff both at breakfast and dinner were good and helpful and friendly, and Lily and Daneille went out there way to help us at all times at dinner . as did many others the food was good and well cooked and if there was anything we didn't like they would ask the chef to change it, which he did.
the staff at the bar again all helpful and friendly and made us welcome.
Hopefully we will go back again one day and i would recommend this hotel, in a lovely part of Blackburn. no complaints from us.
with 3 coaches and other guests it was busy but all staff coped well
thank you all for making our stay a pleasant one.
