Fantastic hotel with great facilities. Warm welcome and superb food especially the 3 courses for £23 pre booked - great value for money! Christopher at the bar was very helpful in particular, thank you !👌☺️

Stayed for 3 nights recently as the base for a coach trip. A lovely warm welcome and very speedy check in with everything ready for our arrival and keys handed out immediately. Our room 616 was very clean, quiet and spacious.
We both commented on the comfy beds and complete black out of the room during the night.
Exceptional food with waiter service at dinner. (Tea/Coffee served to the table at breakfast which was buffet service) We loved the idea of selecting our 3 course meal for the following night. A special mention of Joseph in the restaurant who was charming and so helpful.
Without question all staff were polite, professional and helpful. An asset to the company.
Our only disappointment was not seeing all the Christmas decorations go up before we left. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Excellent, helpful staff... rooms are run down and need care... the bathrooms desperately need maintenance... poor shower pressure and leaking toilet... not good

Previous member of the hotel and spa and now returned, lots of decorative changes and money well spent on the changing rooms, saunas steam rooms etc. All staff are friendly and accommodating to members.

Although a little difficult to get there by public transport, the hotel is nonetheless worth a visit & stay. The staff are generally friendly & efficient, correction - very friendly 🙂, but maybe staff levels are not what they should be - my party received 2 courses of their evening meal in about 1 hour & 5 minutes. However, the food is delicious, fresh, & actually the £22 dinner voucher offered to some spa package customers like myself - was expanded to 3 courses worth £28 (October 2022) ! A major attraction of this hotel is its' Spa / Wellness facility with a pool plus relaxing treatment sessions (recommended although a little pricey - worth it !) Aside from the restaurant dining options however, (it opens at 6pm for dinner - reservations recommended) if you want other options - or an extra bottle of water, you may want to travel to nearby Accrington or Blackburn (Accrington Lidl & KFC are just 6 minutes' drive away). The rooms themselves were impressively big, tidy, & clean, but the room shower I had possessed a faulty control panel, so some twiddling was required to get a hot shower. Also, although my room was OK in temperature, there seemed to be no way of turning the radiators down or up, which lowered the high score this hotel should get.

Fantastic evening meal. Room lovely. Robes provided. Breakfast was a let down and super busy. If the hotel is busy they would be better to book breakfast times. Staff awesome. Drinks expensive. £26 for two double gins. Grounds stunning, great location.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We loved everything about our stay at the Dunk. Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, comfy beds, delicious food and very relaxed atmosphere. Only problem was the bad Wi-Fi.

Had an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. The hotel is in nice surroundings and has a quality feel about it. Our room was terrific - a huge suite with lots of space, a very comfortable bed and a bathroom the size of some entire hotel bedrooms!
The restaurant is classy and the food is good. The restaurant was a little overwhelmed on the night of our visit - a lot of guests for a relatively small staff group to cope with. But they remained professional and attentive throughout.
Breakfast was generous and tasty and good value for money.
Overall, this is a very nice hotel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Arrived with a friend to celebrate our birthdays and retirement for a spa day with afternoon tea and treatments. Firstly can I say the staff from walking through the door to spa reception and spa staff amazing talented people who know how to treat a guest. Afternoon tea was delayed as manager was not happy with product how good is that. Room good sized bed and bathroom bath and separate shower Yes!. Problem started early hours with noise of people in and our of rooms then morning arrived no hot water so boil a kettle time this made us late for breakfast .where we were faced with dregs of breakfast when someone is paying the hotel price for breakfast. The service area should look like it has just opened. This was a big turn off and frankly spoiled our second day we were going to use pool again but my friend was so annoyed she wanted to leave straight away so I was then forced to leave. Little things that spoil a stay take on board suggestion mecure
