Had a wonderful day/night. The spa facilities were very good. Everything was very nice. The service at the bar was spot on and the bar itself was lovely, especially the high backed chairs. The room was very nice. Very clean and big. Again, the facilities were superb and the free items in the fridge were a very nice touch. The food in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Looking forward to going again

Not as good as it has been . Food still excellent but went to use facillities the morning after to be told we could only use them for half an hour , the last time we stayed we had full use even after checkout . Would like to have known that before booking

We booked a last minute deal to this hotel, for Dinner Bed and breakfast. The booking (via Secret Escapes) was really easy and straight away the booking was confirmed by the hotel. We had plenty of information emailed to us and were offered opportunities to book the restaurant and upgrade.
The hotel was easy to get too and parking good. Currently the £10 parking charge was suspended (March 23)
Rhe spa facilities were excellent. Clean and well maintained. Our meal at the restaurant was lovely.
Our room was clean and well maintained, although we were close to the wedding reception, we couldn't hear any noise from the party. Breakfast was also lovely. Staff were very helpful. We can't wait to come again

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times now. Each time the service has been professional and friendly, often 'going the extra mile' to ensure optimal satisfaction. Food is of a good standard and we experience a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere there. Rooms are always cleaned to a high standard. Thank you very much

Remember to register your car when you get there otherwise you will get a parking ticket. I did, but when I rung the hotel they were very quick and efficient at getting out cancelled...

Really enjoyable - all the staff were friendly and helpful. Very relaxing.
One small niggle pool and jacuzzi could have been a tad warmer, did not spoil overall stay.

Warm welcome, room was clean and well decorated with comfortable bed but the pillows were very hard.
Evening meal was good and service was excellent. Breakfast had a good choice of food and Aziz made sure that everything went to plan.

Nice surroundings but no access to the fields surrounding the hotel - it is all fenced off and this is a bit of a let down. The hotel is quiet, serene and mostly, away from the noisy roads.
Staff at breakfast were lovely on Sunday - Aziz and his team were polite and friendly and kind. The breakfast staff on Monday however were a little disrespectful. Having asked for a pot of tea, the waitress seemed to have taken offence and then the manager, though they did bring me hot milk, made a point of telling me I can get tea and milk myself from the machine. The only reason I asked the waitress was because Aziz and his team kindly offered the day before informing us that coffee was available at the machines. Edwina and her team are a little rude and not welcoming or forthcoming to provide customer service. They could learn how to be better and be more respectful.
The hotel room was an executive room and it was big, spacious and lovely. The room was a biiiig trek to get to and from but worth the trek as it was nice and quiet and comfortable.
The staff seem either a little uniterested or a bit authoritative. There is no need and it does take away from the hotels intention of being a relaxing destination. Staff need to be more welcoming and pleasant. Amy at reception for example was stern and authoritative in their demeanour for some strange reason. You are not in a school. People are paying several hundreds of pounds to enjoy serenity and a peaceful holiday- there is no need to be a mean school lunch attendant. You will only get higher customer service ratings and a higher overall hotel repution if you manage somehow to be more welcoming and respectful.
The cleaning staff around the hotel were lovely and respectful. Others might be able to learn from them too.

Got a package through secret escapes. A night in an executive room, 3 course meal and breakfast. We enjoyed the spa facilities thoroughly. The 3 course meal was excellent, good selection to choose from. Breakfast was a buffet, everything was good quality and there was plenty of choice. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely experience of a night away. Staff more than lovely and in particular a shout out to Aziz who walked about during breakfast and made us and everyone feel more than welcome with friendly chat. The facilities live up to the renovated claim they made and more. The restaurant was good and well priced. Rooms absolutely spot on and comfy beds and absolutely gorgeous bathrooms. Overall well worth the package price we paid! Thank you all.

Estar en un edificio con 700 años de antigüedad tiene su encanto. Bien restaurado y con todos los servicios. Tiene un spa y gimnasio bastante bueno. El restaurante bien, con típica comida inglesa. Bien servicio y personal muy atento.

Although our room was upgraded on arrival, unfortunately a double bed was within the room when twin was booked. The receptionist was very quick to find a further room, however one of the Queen beds within was uncomfortable down to the mattress as it felt like the springs were coming through which ultimately led to not having a good night's rest. The food on offer was beautiful for the evening meal, yet felt the breakfast buffet although plentiful, could have been warmer. The staff throughout our visit were pleasant and polite and acknowledged our comments with genuine concern. The spa, although not directly under the hotel, we commented upon the pool being cool, the changing rooms were cold and the spinner for costumes out of order. No robes or slippers were supplied even when part of the package. However the treatment area was lovely with a varied rooms available and plenty of space to enjoy.
