We had two rooms. One family room and one standard double. Both rooms were large and had everything we needed. The family room has a shower and a bath.
The water in the bathrooms was lovely and hot - which these days in hotels - is a rarity.
The staff are to be commended for their friendliness, professionalism and knowledge about the hotel.
The breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
The WiFi in the family room was amazing - the WiFi in the double room was dodgy - room for improvement there!
We will definitely stay here again when attending Ewood Park.

Was really looking forward to some very rare child free time as a couple with the 2-6pm Spa afternoon package which I received the previous month to celebrate my birthday.
Started off well, all staff friendly and polite, afternoon tea was served promptly and was nice and fresh.
They had run out of padlocks so had to meet my husband after he’d been in the changing room and put his things into the locker with mine.
The temperature in corridors and in the changing room was cold and though the mirrored area/hair drying area had been refurbed the rest of the changing room area was in need of a refurb.
Our treatments were scheduled for 3pm, they were started promptly and got nearly the full 50 mins of the treatment time. Treatments we both really enjoyed. My therapist was Mia and was lovely.
Relaxation room afterwards was nice and the beds were really comfy with the cushions on.
We headed to the pool area afterwards, able to get 2 loungers but they were not so comfortable as they weren’t cushioned.
The area with the sauna and steam rooms and showers was nice, I got into and back out of the pool as it was so cold.
Love a whirlpool/ jacuzzi but as it was linked to the same water as the pool and not separate this was also the same cold temperature.
I am guessing there are family swim times from 5pm as it suddenly got very busy and loud with lots of children so not the relaxing experience we were hoping for, for the latter part it was a rare child free afternoon so was looking forward to peace.
The showers didn’t have a lock on and no hooks to hang things, which I found surprising not to be able to lock the shower door.
We waited about 15 minutes to try and get served in the bar afterwards but due to it being busy and short staffed we decided just to head back.
The restaurant looked lovely when we walked past and could tell it had been recently refurbished.
Overall we had a nice time but would need the pool to be warm and to try and be told about so we could try back avoid family swim times

Lovely experience here and a tranquil stay. Cannot fault Arica for anything she was so sweet and welcoming. 10/10 rating from me

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband for my birthday. This was only casually mentioned upon check in and the team made extra effort because of this. They upgraded our room which was unexpected and very much appreciated. I believe the man who dealt with us was called Sam. The restaurant team was amazing. Special thanks to lily, daice and Theo for the special little touches that really made a lasting impression. The food was really good, everything we had was great. The breakfast team were equally lovely with a great sense of humour! Overall our stay was 5 star although I do feel like I need to mention a couple of little things.. the room needed hooks! We found it hard work hanging towels/robes… and the spa … we came 4 years ago and there has been no changes, no upgrades. The pool was cold like it was back then, they said a boiler was broke 4 years ago and today it was still cold. They did have a sign to say that they are aware of an issue but you can’t help wonder if it was ever been fixed…and given the fact there is no hot tub at this spa you would think this would be a top priority. This afternoon there was no ambient music playing in the spa which did make it feel a bit off. We have had the pleasure of experiencing many other spas and if only the spa here could live up to the service it would be top marks all round (but probably a lot more expensive!) there is great potential here and the staff are a massive asset! Great hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, helpful, and made me feel well looked after. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall environment was relaxing and enjoyable. Dinner service was a real highlight of my stay. Holly, Curla, Lilly, and Lily were all excellent—professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made sure everything was perfect and created a very pleasant dining experience. Their outstanding service, along with the quality of the hotel, really stood out. I would happily recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again

What a beautiful hotel. Although we only stopped 2 nights the whole experience was excellent. Our room was amazing,the food excellent,and the staff could not do enough for you. Special thanks to Julia who went above and beyond helping us settle in. We would defiantly recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

We stayed just after Christmas. The hotel and room were nice and the spa and pool were great.
We had a meal in the restaurant and a fantastic breakfast in the morning.

I stayed at the Dunk for work and attended a team dinner. The food was great, and service was splendid. In particular Holly, Lilly and Carta - thank you so much for great hospitality! Also a special mention of Priya on Reception/check in, who was super with dealing with my requests. So professional and kind. The pool is freezing cold which is not ideal when you are not constantly swimming. It needs to be made warmer. Lots of people using the spa complaining about the pool. Real shame.

This is a beautiful old building. We stayed overnight as a Christmas treat. It's a great base for sightseeing. We ate in the restaurant where the food was delicious. We were given a very spacious room with a double bed each and had a lovely comfortable quiet night's sleep

We really enjoyed our visit to the Spa here.
From the moment we rolled up to the property it looked fabulous. We didn't stay at the hotel but got a pleasant greetings from the receptionist who was helpful in guiding us to the spa. The hotel looked lovely.
In the spa, the receptionist greeted us and asked us to take a seat. They brought a welcome drink which was a nice touch. We were provided the usual forms and provided with robe, towel and slippers.
I didn't think slippers were included so was pleasantly surprised. They showed us around and all looked clean and lovely.
There are lockers (you don't need money for these), shower, shampoo and body wash, hairdryers etc.
There weren't an awful lot of day beds around the pool, so I imagine on busy days this would be an issue. We went mid week so it was easy to get sun loungers, however, there are no cushions on them, so that one reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars, sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference.
The pool was a little cold but once you start swimming lengths it's fine... however, at a spa you definitely want a lovely warm pool to dip in and chill out in but it was too cold to relax in.
There is a sauna (which was fine in the morning but wasn't very hot later in the day), a steam room, an aromatherapy steam room and a zen room.
My spa treatment was at 10am. I got there early and the spa was locked up. A lady came down the stairs and said I can come back just before 10. I did. But I was sat waiting with a few other people whilst the spa staff were still rushing around getting set up. This is another reason I gave it 4 stars. I like a spa to be a chilled atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Seeing people rushing around didn't feel very relaxing, so I think they need to get organised in there well in advance to customers attending the 10am treatments.
The treatment itself was lovely, I chose the salt and oil full body treatment. I think next time I would choose a different treatment though as not enough time spent on my back.
The afternoon tea was lovely with a birthday banner on the table.
I couldn't fault the staff or look of the spa.
It just needs a couple of tweaks to make the place perfect

Came to the hotel for the new years eve event it was amazing !! . Great service , friendly staff and fabulous food couldn't fault one bit😊. Will be returning a special thank you to Emily and Sarah for booking me in.

I attended the New Years Eve 1920s themed Gala Dinner. The event was fantastic from start to finish and the accommodation was perfect. Couldn’t fault it at all 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My husband and I had an amazing 2 days stay including their New Years Eve Party. I can't speak highly of the staff.
Emily Brown and her collegues were all exceptional from start to finish. The bedroom we were allocated room 202 was everything you would need for a perfect stay including dressing gowns & slippers, a fantastic coffee machine, iron and ironing board too, not forgetting the huge comfy bed. The Party held in the ballroom was decorated in "Black/white" with the most elegant table decorations on them. Entertainment started with Paul Guard singing great songs followed by a top DJ to see in 2026. The whole evening was tremendous and can't wait to book in again.
