A new project in North Devon and Torridge has been launched aimed at developing customer service skills for businesses throughout the area. The project, entitled ‘Skills for Seasonal Workers’, is run by North Devon+ and the Employment & Skills Board in conjunction with Education + Training Skills. It offers 20 free in-work training opportunities for local businesses to develop customer service.
An exciting residency will begin at St Anne’s on 10th February for 3 weeks. Sam White, Devon photographer and one time pinhole pedaller, will be using the building to explore new photographic techniques and to help see the historic building in a whole new light by building his own 'camera obscura' in St Anne’s.
“People are discovering St Anne’s in Barnstaple, we have lots of different events programmed and they are proving popular" Calling all volunteers who can help!!
North Devon has a growing number of young people who have successfully achieved degrees, yet remain unemployed. The impact of this is increased pressure in other areas of the labour market, as competition for jobs remains high.
