Despite terrible weather the heroic 1st Tattenhams Cub braved the elements to clean up their area

I am writing to update you about the latest, disappointing news about the future of Epsom Hospital and the Epsom and St Helier Trust.

I am writing to let you know that the local NHS have announced that they intend to go ahead with the consultation about where they will build their new acute hospital early in the New Year, after a final meeting between the local GP groups to confirm their recommendations. At present they plan to recommend that Sutton should host the new unit.

As you may be aware from previous messages from me, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council is currently embarking on the process of shaping a new local plan. The plan is an essential part of ensuring that the Borough can meet its housing needs while at the same time putting in place strict guidance for developers about what they can and cannot do locally. This can include a clear allocation of land for development, design guidelines, limits on the height of buildings and other guidance.
Last night councillors, at the Environment and Safe Communities Committee meeting, agreed a range of proposed changes to parking charges in council owned car parks from April 2020.
