Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service are reminding people to be aware of possible flooding later today and over the weekend as predicted by the Met Office.
People living close to the River Exe in Topsham and any other parts of Exeter that are at risk of flooding from tidal waters are being warned to protect their properties from an expected tidal surge tomorrow morning (Friday 3 January).
DSFRS Fire crews were called to 250 weather-related incidents last night (23-24 December), including flooding of properties and rescues of motorists from floodwater.
