Today I hosted my sisters baby shower at Calderfields. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to hold this event! The staff were extremely accommodating for the weeks leading up to the big day and today. Every need was met with our guests being treated in the best way possible. We opted for the afternoon tea which was a good price and gave a variety of sandwiches and cakes. All dietary requirements of our guests were met and we received brilliant feedback from them on how they were treated by the staff. The event was held in the conservatory with the views over the golf course. We were able to bring all decorations and the staff kindly assisted us in putting the decorations up and helping us clear up at the end of the day. Overall a successful day in which our guests and my sister enjoyed. It is safe to say that we will be booking Calderfields again for all other events and I would highly recommend it.

The accommodation is fairly basic but adequate for an overnight stay when playing golf. The room service have tea, coffee facilities and all the other usual gubbins. The downside to staying here is although the bar opening times state 7-12 it shut at 7.30. Also when arriving for breakfast we had to wait for the chef to start cooking which meant the staff had to explain the wait. First impressions are everything and unfortunately they let themselves down on this one.

We had a family gathering here today & we had a lovely private area overlooking the greens. The carvery was fantastic, loads of meat and a fantastic choice of vegetables, one of the best I'd ever had. I was too full for a dessert but several of the family had one & said they were delicious. Special mention to Jack our waiter who was lovely. Many thanks.

Just had a three night stay at Calderfields Golf and Country Club whilst visiting relatives which proved to be very successful. The Chalets are quite basic but have all you need for a short stay. They are very warm, very clean and have a lovely outlook over the Golf course. The beds very comfortable. There is a good sized television and have a very good sized bathroom. We will most definitely stay there again.

We booked a Sunday Lunch at the Calderfieds to celebrate my wife's birthday with the family on arrival we were made to feel very welcome and shown to our table .The waitress came and asked for our drinks order which was delivered to our table very quick, starters order was taken and delivered to the table in the same high standard,the Carvery was very good and all our family enjoyed the meal and the staff were very good we shall return!!

First of all this is one of the best restaurants for a friendly welcome and great service.

A big thankyou to Caulderfields for a fantastic evening. On arrival the tables looked wonderful, beautifully laid out with the crowns of melon decorating the layout. The food was amazing and the atmosphere incredible. Waiting staff were really friendly whilst serving the food in a very professional manor. An all round incredible evening worth every penny.

Carvery was OK but not much better than one you'd get at one of the chains out there. The decision not to return was made when the staff tried to charge us for an extra carvery and then argue that the money we'd handed over was ten pound short of the balance.

Brilliant course. Not very forgiving but improves your game as it's also testing! Greens are among the best I've played on. And I've played on loads!

Really beautiful and lovely place. Staff were excellent and food was amazing. Would recommend this stay! :-) Only concern was that they pushed two single beds into one for a double room. Which made sleeping alittle difficult.
