Went for sunday lunch for a birthday treat.I was very scathing about calderfields last time i went for lunch but my there has been an improvement.Bar prices still high but staff and food could not be faulted.Surroundings still wonderful so would go back again without hesitation.( might hide a bottle in the wifes handbag though )

What can you say the place is a 7/10 What you get is a good shower nicely updated rooms a decent view and quite a pleasure to stay at reception are always happy and I use this place quite a lot never disrespectful or rude

I chose this hotel as it had a great offer on Booking.com and much cheaper than some of the chains. The receptionist was very friendly and check in was quick. There are 21 cabins overlooking the golf course. Very quiet. The cabin was clean, a good size with a large bathroom. No Wi-Fi though which was disappointing. All in all a great place go stay if you can get for under £50!

1st time visit to calderfields for a sunday CARVERY it was the best ever for me and my husband there were 13 of us for a 90th birthday party . staff was very nice worked hard always came and ask us if we wanted any more drinks and very helpfull will be returning very soon .

For ladies who lunch ... my mom, auntie and I decided to catch up and decided to try the Golf Club for a change.
It wasn't very busy which surprised me especially as it was Friday lunchtime. We were shown to a sofa area where our drinks orders were taken and given menus to look over whilst waiting for drinks.
Drinks were delivered quite quickly but not too quick that we hadn't had enough time to make menu choices. Decision made we sat and enjoyed our drinks in comfort.
When our food was ready we were shown to a table over looking the golf course which was nice, especially as it was a wRm sunny day.
Food portion sizes were very good and food was delicious and considering where we were the prices weren't too bad.
Staff were friendly and attentive although we did have to ask a few times for the bill.
Not sure how they would cope if the small eating area was full !

I came here on Little Eric's golf society, the course, food and accomodation was very good. We stayed in the little pods by the 18th hole.
There are some decent areas for social drinking outside the course as well, little Eric wouldn't stay in my pod because he is too old to party nowadays.

Simply lovely. The carvery is the best ive been too .no wafer thin meat and bland veg here .plenty of thick melt in mouth meat .lots of choice of potatoes and veg .pigs in blankets included .not like others that charge extra .Guinness very nice .freindly staff .highly recommended.

We held a very successful network meeting at Calderfields. All of the staff were extremely helpful and did everything they could to ensure that the evening ran smoothly. The food was served on time and everyone who attended enjoyed a delicious meal. The desserts were very tempting! Big thank you to the whole team.

A group of us visited again Sunday for a fabulous Carvery. It really is stunningly good, and what makes it so nice is that it's cooked in a home cooked style. Pigs in blankets on tap, and the best cauliflower cheese around ! Top service as always and a lovely view down the 18th hole and log cabins. What's not to like !!

Visited here last Sunday, the table was booked for 4.30 but we arrived early and was seated early. We ordered starters & the kids got their carvery whilst waiting. They only had 1 yorkshire pudding left at this point. Our starters arrived which were hot & delicous. We then noticed they had turned the lights off the carvery station & staff we're waiting to get their carvery. Therefore, we went up to the carvery, they still didnt have any yorkshire puddings, which only looked frozen so I was shocked they didnt cook more as they wasnt fresh. They had also ran out of mashed potatoes but did supply some boiled potatoes. The starter plates didnt get collected. I thought the service could have been better, they should ensure there is enough food for all paying customer as you book, staff should have advised us to go to the carvery rather then go themselves & starter plates should have been collected. There was a good choice of vegetables & the roast potatoes were nice. Would visit again but a much earlier time. It was very hot in their too.

took my family to Restaurant early Sept 2017. Location, Service and food absolutely excellent. 14year old grand daughter's birthday - declared the "Hunters Chicken" best she had ever had. This is a hidden gem in Aldridge where many people still think you have to be a member to eat in the restaurant. Maureen Cook

Lovely food very efficient staff very helpful bringing tea to the table .been here on a Sunday for a carvery everything is cooked fresh no frozen food .also has a afternoon tea here lovely fresh sandwiches and endless coffee top ups .
