Second time of visiting the area with friends. Both times we have popped to The Allerford Inn for lunch. A good selection of light lunch meals, we selected jacket potatoes & baguettes and all were enjoyable. The Inn is clean and modern in decor. The washrooms were extremely well maintained. Good service and friendly bar staff.

Arranged a birthday celebration and staff could not have been more accommodating and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and meal was delicious.

Cannot fault The Allerford Inn at all. We got married abroad and booked our party at Allerford to celebrate with all our family and friends. All staff leading up to and on the day were amazing and helped us in every way we needed and answered all our questions.
We were allowed to set up during the day and we were allowed to do whatever we wanted to the large function room. The function room itself is a blank canvas allowing us to have our theme perfectly. Clean and tidy and beautiful with large windows all along one side with a view out onto the garden and fields. Large doors opened onto a large decked area. The slated dancefloor has a fairy light canopy which added a bit of romance to the whole room.
We had the 'standard buffet' for 40 people and it was MASSIVE! Lot's to choose from and copious amount of it!
All our guests were commenting on how lovely our party was and ow lovely the room was.
Can't say thank you enough! It was a night to remember and we'll be recommending you to everyone.

A group of us were staying in nearby Washford for a 30th birthday and wanted a nice Sunday roast in Taunton or the local area. We booked a table towards the end of the carvery serving time, but there was still lots of everything (meat, veg, gravy, etc.) left. We all had different meats (two had veggie nut roast) and everyone raved about their food. The dauphinoise potatoes were delicious as well! Would highly recommend for a nice Sunday roast at a very reasonable price (less than £10 each)

Ellie and Tom have been amazing from the moment we booked our wedding reception right up until we left our wedding reception as Mr and Mrs. Ellie and Tom were always available to chat with if we needed to amend anything, even upto 2 days before! We were able to set up the day before but when time was not on our side Ellie was there with a helping hand! Ellie and Tom were friendly and super helpful from our unusual requests (ie hiring a surf simulator) to our special dietary requirements from our guests.Feeding 70+ guests, food was superb! Our day was perfect! They even managed to pull of surprise fireworks from the groom to the bride! Thank you for all your help. You helped to make it a day to remember!

We found this excellent place by accident last night and enjoyed a fantastic meal which was reasonably priced with generous portions. My wife is vegetarian and was spoilt for choice unlike most places which only offer one option if that! The staff are very attentive and very helpful. The Otter beer was lovely. if I wanted to run an Inn with all the hard work that goes into it this would be the model!!

Last Sunday we visited the allerford for a Carvery. The meal was excellent plenty of veg to choose from & lovely meat.
If I had to criticise, I would say that the plates are very small, so we had to eat nearly all the veg before we could get to the meat. They serve proper cauliflower cheese not packet & even the sauces were tasty!

Visited yesterday for lunch, Sat in the large beer garden around the back. Perfect day for eating outside. We had the burger and the steak. Top notch food. Steak was cooked perfectly. friendly staff, chatty and very helpful. Will definitely be going back again. Many thanks

I visited the Allerford inn for the first time this week - the carvery was delicious. The meat was so well cooked, very tender. Massive homemade Yorkshire puddings, a large selection of vegetables, potatoes and delicious homemade stuffing. Great value for £9.50 (adults), considering how good the food is. The pub itself is very spacious inside and has a lovely outside area, which would be lovely on a sunny day. Plenty of parking in a really big car park. Will definitely be visiting again

Thank you to your team for helping with the setting up the day before and having everything immaculate. Lovely service, lovely food, lovely place and with us being a group of 12 they were brilliant at catering to all our needs. Also lots of space for the children to run around whilst the adults caught up. Will definitely be going again when next in Taunton. Very reasonably priced as well. Thank you

We had our wedding reception here after getting married abroad in Santorini . Tom and his team gave us a perfect night . The food was perfect and all our courses were brought out with no problems at all .

Although quiet which was to be expected for very late on a Thursday lunch the food was very good with good flavours.
Staff were friendly and helpful and pricing was decent.
Need to visit at a busier time to comment on atmosphere but it has all the right ingredients to be a very nice place to eat.

We recently had our wedding reception at the Allerford after getting married abroad. From start to finish we really can't fault anything! We had a fantastic evening, everyone commented on what great food and what a lovely pub! The planning was also really well sorted, they arranged a full run through with us the week before so they could make sure everything ran smoothly on the night - a huge help and a great extra touch. We ordered part hog-roast and part buffet - the food was brilliant. We had so many great comments. Also happily catered for vegetarians and gluten free. I would recommend this pub to anyone, either for a lovely meal, or for a wedding/party. There's also a large outside area with seats and tables - a bonus for the kids to run around and play safely!
