Visited here for a Sunday carvery with the family which we all enjoyed . Meat was delicious although was slightly let down by the fact that some of the veg was obviously frozen and not fresh . Such a shame but all in all I would recommend.

What can I say : This place is too good for words . You need to experience it yourself . It is definitely the nicely pub we have been to around the Taunton area . We were welcomed on arrival and made to feel so relaxed . There were 4 of us and a dog . The food was so fresh and delicious . One of the meals was a shared platter inc warm crusty bread and crackers , fresh ham , home made pickles and so much more . Please visit , you will be just as amazed as all of us . They have definitely got a regular visitor with us . First class service all around with superb delicious food .i promise you won’t be disappointed..

My husband and I decided to go for a carvery - just the two of us. The staff were so friendly and professional, they promptly took our orders, gave us our drinks and stated we could go up for food when we wanted. The food was amazing ,so tasty. Meat cooked to perfection. I would have loved a pudding but was too full. Thank you guys for a lovely meal xx

Food portions are huge but very nice, service was excellent.<br>They need a range of local beers, only had London Pride on tap. Not drunk that since the 80's. 😞.<br><br>Outside area is very tired but the food made up for that.

Went on a Sunday. Menu therefore is carvery. Choice of three meats, and full range of veg. Roast pots were really good. Hearty lunch. Had nuggets and fries off the kids menu as well. Plenty of food.<br><br>Food was good.<br><br>We were in the overflow (I’ll call it) shed. Hot day. Lots of flies and it could do with some TLC. But doors were open to patio and kids were running around having fun. It was busy so suggest booking ahead.

Absolutely lovely pub! Been to many weddings here and my son’s school prom. The food here is amazing and the roast is not to be missed! Children super welcome and the new owner works so hard offering lots of family days and nights! Beautiful family pub!

Nice pub but food wasn't the best . Starters were very good but the mains were a bit of a let down . Prawn pasta bland no flavour also the curry not the best.

Fantastic lunch in the garden. I had traveled from wales to see my mum and was hankering after a ploughman’s lunch. After we ordered a cheese ploughman’s and a ham ploughman’s and a member of staff came to our table to suggest we try the deli board which had cheese and ham and ploughman’s components. We took a chance and what a great result! Absolutely delicious! Definitely would recommend.

Haven’t been there in a few years and the atmosphere has changed a lot, but they’ve put a lovely kids area outside and also the inside has changed a lot and added loads of new things to it to increase the atmosphere like ability

We went out from my birthday meal as it was my birthday yesterday we decided to have a treat and go for a carvery unfortunately the food was not up to standard today the vegetables were cold and on the hard side especially the cauliflower cheese .<br>Another thing I didn't like which is my personal preference and I personally can't stand is the fact that the waitress kept calling my husband my love I personally feel it's rude and unprofessional.<br>One thing I can say is that you can't beat the desserts the portion sizes were really good and my children enjoyed their chocolate brownie and chocolate fudge cake.

Went for a carvery and despite it being incredibly busy the service was fantastic. The food beat all expectations and the dauphinoius was the absolute stand out.<br>It's very rare to have a carvery with no corners cut and I couldn't recommend more.

I really can't praise the team at the Allerford enough. Really great food served by helpful, smiley and a professional team. Nothing was too much trouble.<br>From booking process to drinks and food orders to clearing the table.<br>Our family party of 9 loved the great valued carvary . For me, the best I've tested in a long time.<br>Thanks to all at the Allerford.

We recently had pur baby son passed away and we approached the Allerford to ask them to hold the wake for us. They kindly did this for us free of charge. They helped us to set up the room as we wanted it as well as put on a lovely spread of food and had a great area for kids to play (as we wanted to make it child friendly). Thank you so much for making such a hard day better for us. We highly recommend these lovely people and this great establishment.
