We went out from my birthday meal as it was my birthday yesterday we decided to have a treat and go for a carvery unfortunately the food was not up to standard today the vegetables were cold and on the hard side especially the cauliflower cheese .<br>Another thing I didn't like which is my personal preference and I personally can't stand is the fact that the waitress kept calling my husband my love I personally feel it's rude and unprofessional.<br>One thing I can say is that you can't beat the desserts the portion sizes were really good and my children enjoyed their chocolate brownie and chocolate fudge cake.

Went for a carvery and despite it being incredibly busy the service was fantastic. The food beat all expectations and the dauphinoius was the absolute stand out.<br>It's very rare to have a carvery with no corners cut and I couldn't recommend more.

I really can't praise the team at the Allerford enough. Really great food served by helpful, smiley and a professional team. Nothing was too much trouble.<br>From booking process to drinks and food orders to clearing the table.<br>Our family party of 9 loved the great valued carvary . For me, the best I've tested in a long time.<br>Thanks to all at the Allerford.

We recently had pur baby son passed away and we approached the Allerford to ask them to hold the wake for us. They kindly did this for us free of charge. They helped us to set up the room as we wanted it as well as put on a lovely spread of food and had a great area for kids to play (as we wanted to make it child friendly). Thank you so much for making such a hard day better for us. We highly recommend these lovely people and this great establishment.

We were there today for baby Brice's celebration of his life ,the pub is amazing ,so was the food and lovely friendly staff highly recommended will definitely go there again ,on a happier occasion 😁

Had a lovely carvery whilst celebrating a family members birthday, staff was very polite and friendly and very informative, will i come here again, most definitely but they need a bigger carpark which is the only let down

The reason I have given 3 stars is that although the food etc was very good, we paid a 30 pound deposit beforehand, for a carvery on the 2nd March. We didn't realise until later that the deposit hadn't been taken off the bill. 3 phone calls later and still hasn't been entered into the bank. Just be aware when paying deposits.

Very quiet location in the middle of nowhere but next to a train line which will entertain young children. Staff know their products and menu very well. Food was well presented with good portions but not too much and Very reasonably priced. Ideal location for an event or wedding reception. It has a large fenced garden with a play park. I assume it is family run. It is off the beaten track but well worth the effort to get there. The Allerford chicken was excellent.

Really disappointed!!<br>Having been a few times in the past for the carvery this time was not good..<br>Gravy was watery and thin<br>Vegetables bland<br>Beef tough<br><br>Service was great but will go elsewhere in future as all the family were not impressed 😒

Lovely pub and very kind staff but found the carvery just above average but from reviews it might have been an off day.<br><br>It's a small but very busy pub with lots of customers which shows it's popularity.<br><br>We walked in and only took 5 minutes to get to the bar and be sat. The atmosphere where we were seated was great as it was the smaller area which helped with noise but found where the carvery was served very loud but it's a large room so acoustics doesn't help.<br><br>We found it affordable as much as any other carvery. I opted for beef and pork for meats and had much of the veg.<br><br>The pork had great flavour and the dauphinoise potatoes were amazing with a great creamy garlic flavour. I very much enjoyed the red cabbage and peas but found the roast potatoes disappointing and the parsnips hard. But you cannot win everything, overall I enjoyed the meal.<br><br>I would love to go back again as the scenery around the inn was lovely and the staff were amazing.<br><br>I give 4 stars out of 5 but I would like to go again and rate it 5.

Amazing venue ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️<br>We used The Allerford Inn for our wedding venue, it was absolutely perfect and more than what we dreamt of. The staff were incredible and helped me make my dream a reality. No matter how much I stressed in the lead up to the wedding the staff took on that load and helped to make everything run smoothly so I could just relax on the day and just enjoy it. With a very short turn around I only had 8 weeks to plan my wedding from start to finish but Shane put me at ease and we had the most perfect magical day. If anyone is thinking of having The Allerford Inn for their wedding venue I 100% recommend!<br>The food was amazing, we had so many compliments at how tasty it all was and the selection, there was something for everyone.<br>A massive thank you to Shane and the team for everything! 🥰

Went for sunday lunch with my partner. Weather was terrible. Drive to the pub was terrible with floods. BUT. The food, service was outstanding. Great service from young ladies behind the bar. 10/10

First time ever at this venue. We came because of the good reviews we heard and read...<br>We were sat in the "music room" where it was very cold and loud music...We had trouble heqring eachother.These issues were slightly remediated by staff.Despite the very nice service and attentive staff, we cannot say we will return. The carvery was average, nothing special about it. The chocolate fudge brownie came with a chocolate icecream, instead of vanilla...That was a faux pas. Another member of our group had vanilla and chocolate iceacream...But what an icecream it was...Came almost melted, and the vanilla one, was a sorrowful excuse for an icecream...very strange colour and more ice than cream...The remembrance strawberry cheesecake was clearly frozen and defrosted...It came to the table still half frozen...We did not complain as we were too embarrassed because of the two friends we invited for the meal...<br>Oh...and from the four of us, we "thank you" for the stomach cramps and diarrhoea!👍
