I wanna start by thanking all the Allerford inn staff for making my wedding day so special.
Nothing was to much trouble, after postponing due to Covid the Allerford team where so helpful at the organising everything.
The food(carvery) was amazing as always along with desserts and my guest all complemented how amazing my evening buffet was! The chocolate fountain was a huge hit with my guest.
Setting up was made so easy with them helping me and directing the disco and other suppliers where to go without me having to worry on the day.
If your looking to get married then this gem is the pace to go ❤️

Haven’t been to The Allerford for a family carvery in awhile and we always wonder why we don’t come every week as it’s delicious!!! The staff are always so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble even with how busy they are on Sundays! They have hit the spot with carvery and especially those desserts!!! Yum!! Keep up the good work, it’s a fab place!

Went in with a couple of friends, they wanted a carvery but as I was eating later I just wanted a snack, I was told they don’t do a snack, my only option was another meal. I ended up just having a pudding, very unhelpful with no care. We were also wet and cold as it was a cold blustery winters day, no heating on, shame as there a 2 lovely wood burners, no better day to have those lit than when it is cold, wet and windy out, I asked why it wasn’t and was told the member of staff was hot so they didn’t want it on, baffles me that. Where has customer service gone, if it was my business I would go out of my way to be warm, welcoming and friendly towards my customers, sadly this place, although lovely in appearance has a cold atmosphere both in environment and customer service. The good bits, banoffee pie and Charlie who served it to me.

Lovely from start to finish. Every course was delicious and the service was excellent. We had an issue with a dog yapping constantly on a table near us and our waitress dealt with it very professionally and efficiently. Couldn’t fault anything and would definitely do it again. Thank you the Allerford team for giving us such a good Christmas Day 🎄

Our first ever trip out for Christmas dinner and we were not disappointed.
The quality of the food was exceptional and we all loved every mouthful.
The service for us was fantastic but we did notice it slowing for later tables as they became busier.
For us though we could not fault our time at The Allerford and would recommend it to all families.

Visited the Allerford twice in December for a Christmas party and also for Christmas Day. Excellent food and service.
On Christmas Day there was unfortunately a very noisy dog who’s owners made no effort to calm it/keep it quiet. The waitress at our table dealt with this very well and spoke with the table. The waitress was a young female with dark hair and she made our experience very pleasant. These sorts of things are out if control for the pub but they dealt with it well and we had a lovely meal.
Special mention for Toblerone cheesecake - gorgeous!

Just back from Christmas lunch at the Allerford where, from the minute we walked through the door, we were made to feel so genuinely welcome by Tom and his marvellous team.
As we have come to expect, the food was first class from the starters (fig & feta parcel was delicious as were the pates), through mains to dessert. By the time it got to the cheese board we were absolutely full up but they have anticipated this and we got a lovely cheese board ‘to go’.
Our waitress, Megan, was very attentive, friendly and helpful and we had a lovely time that was, to be perfectly honest, absolutely faultless.
We cannot thank Tom, Ellie, Nikita, Giles and the whole team enough for giving up their Christmas Day to help make ours so special.

Lovely food and at a decent price.
Went their on a table of 6 and we all enjoyed our food. Even though they didn't have 2 dishes available on their menu, this didn't take anything away form the dining experience. Would recomend going there for food

One of the group ordered a prawn cocktail and when it came it was salmon with 3 prawns sitting on top no Marie rose sauce is that a new version she told the waitress she didn't like salmon but was told that was a prawn Cocktail?? And was not offered another choice every thing else no complaints

We had our wedding reception at the allerford in September,after 3 cancelled dates our 4th time lucky actually happened and the team was amazing,Nikita was extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble and was always on hand to make changes and help with any questions,the venue has very spacious function rooms and lovely outdoor space we hired a bouncy castle which was a missive hit, we had a 2 corse carvery and it was outstanding the puddings were delicious

We visited for a fireworks event and were so impressed by how well organised the event was. Everything had been very well thought out, in particular a buzzer system for the buffet to avoid queuing. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the fireworks display was fantastic. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Had a lovely lunch. Bacon and Brie baguette was superb. Service was a tad slow. But it was Saturday lunchtime and they seemed a bit short staffed. Hopefully not the norm? It was worth the wait though.

We went there for a Sunday carvery. Everything from start to finish was very good indeed. The staff sere very accommodating &the food served was top quality. We had taken friends there & we were all totally happy with everything. Very well done to all.
