Me and my (now) husband chose to have our wedding reception at the Allerford inn, it’s a place that I’ve been visiting since I was a young child and holds a lot of memories for me, so knew that’s where I wanted to hold our wedding reception. Georgia and the team made our day absolutely stress free and quite honestly; seamless! The food was absolutely amazing and came out with no issues at all, very organised and efficient.
The atmosphere was incredible & the staff all just seem as though they are part of the party, it’s such a chilled and friendly atmosphere. We are already planning to renew our vowels every month just to go back and relive it! Thank you all so much for making our day perfect!
Ps - they don’t judge the bad dancing either! Absolute 10 out of 10 venue!!

Fantastic carvery, 3 choices of meat and plenty of choice of vegetables
Homemade Yorkshire pudding.
The only thing that let the food down were the roast potatoes.
Great selection of desserts.
Drinks are a little pricey here, but great selection of beers and ciders.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

You will definitely need to book here for a Sunday carvery.

Great place to eat and chill, great offers on throughout the months, we had the burger and pint for £13 and and wow what a deal.
Kids loved the pizza and kids burger and ate it all which is rare for them.
Lovely little gem and can’t wait for the summer evenings as they have a great beer garden.

The Allerford hosted a suprise party for my partner and everything was top notch, from planning with the manager to the food and staff on the night.
Everyone had such a great time and the buffet was fairly priced and the quality was a hot topic during the party.

We held my mum's wake here and I must say it's the best spread of food I have had at any similar event!

Went here for a All you can Eat night. We went when it was the mexican Night. Oh wow!! Delicious 😋 it's that's great we've booked to go again in a month time. Definitely one for the calendar if you have t been already!

We had hoped there was another option in the area but unfortunately won't return.
We were pretty much the only people there which was suprising for 4pm on a Saturday. The interior was quite underwhelming for a country pub. Despite it being quiet, service was still slow. After waiting a while to order, we were told something we wanted wasn't available. I'm not sure why we weren't told this when we arrived. My partner ordered the ham, eggs and chips (because the other option wasn't available) and the quality of the meat let it down. Nothing overwhelming about the meal at all. The chicken pie is actually not a pie but instead copious amounts of cheap chicken covered with one small sheet of pastry. No vegetables within the pie at all but some nice vegetables to accompany it, as well as some nice gravy. The bacon within it was nice but unfortunately the chicken made me feel so sick that I couldn't finish it. We raised this with the staff when the chef happened to be behind the bar, to be told there was nothing wrong with the food and that the pie was a standard pie that you'd find in any good pub. I'm struggling to find many positives of our experience and would recommend going elsewhere.

Came here for a business lunch. Extremely good value. High quality food at good prices.
We asked to move tables as it was a bit busy where we were snd it was no hassle at all for the gentleman. If I lived closer, I'd be a regular!!

Popped in for lunch, warm welcome, very good food, probably worth booking during winter months as, although has outdoor seating/benches a bit chilly ! Would imagine gets busy during warmer/summer months. Close (10 mins drive) to Taunton centre. Recommended

We were alerted by a friend to a special lunch deal announced on FB, for two lunches including drinks for £22. So we thought we’d give it a try. The inn is tucked away down some lanes from the main A3227, so a little exploring is needed. The pub is a large building with a large carpark. Inside there are several bars and table areas. We went on a Wednesday lunchtime, and seemed to be about the only people there. A couple of lads came in as we left for drinks, but it was very quiet. Service was prompt and friendly, and we opted for steak ciabattas with chips and side salads. My wife had a glass of wine, and I had a pot of tea. In the end it was a lot of food, and very good value for money. However I would suggest to the owners to serve these ciabattas on white plates rather than wooden “chopping boards” with splits in them.

Although the pub was technically closed (due to open for dinner) we were greeted and made feel welcome by the excellent landlord and landlady.
Wr brosed the menu and decided what we would have when we returned for the evening.
All staff were not only good looking but extremely friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and we were delighted to spend the evening there.
Wine was excellent however we were only slightly disappointed by the fact there was no room for pudding!

Carvery was bang on. All the meat was well cooked, roasties were crispy and there was cauli cheese and potato gratin. Not just boiled veg. Highly recommend.

I absolutely LOVE this place! We try and come to the all you can eat nights.
The Mexican was fantastic, pizza very god. Our favourite was the wings! I would highly recommend. Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

We love this pub for a carvery because it really is worth every penny but decided to go and have lunch there today as we have always had such lovely service. We had a burger each which were actually on a deal but the burger was so well cooked and was huge! It came with crispy chips, onion rings, homemade slaw and salad… it was presented lovely and as always the staff were so friendly you felt really valued. Only problem you will have will be having to choose from the menu as it all looks so appetising so have now planned more Friday visits to tick off the lovely meals on there one by one.

Absolutely fantastic service, amazing food. Great carvery dinner on Sundays and lots of special food nights. Mexican night was great with lovely spicy food 😊. Very good value for money.

Multiple problems occurred with our table and others such as delays in food coming, mistakes with orders and genuine hospitality.
When we wanted to pay, the server said he had finished work so we had to go to the bar where a wedding party had overtaken and with one person behind the bar meant we had to wait a while.
The table adjacent to us also had a number of problems to the point they refused to pay.
Not a great experience but nothing some training couldn’t fix.

Delicious lunch, with fantastic service & great portion sizes. You could tell the food was fresh & homemade - best scotch egg and picked veg I have ever had! We will certainly be back!
