Awesome gardens......!! I prefer looking at the country houses rather than gardens - but these gardens wowed me! The gardens are truly spectacular - especially the formal gardens. Lots of different areas with places to sit, and contemplate.Apart from an art gallery, there is little to see in the house - this is work-in-progress. Not the cheapest place to visit - but lovely cafe (the farmhouse fruitcake was delicious!); easy parking; good toilets. Defo worth a visit!

Home to one of the best, if not the best, Edwardian gardens by Gertrude Jekyll and Edward Lutyens

Large grounds to walk around which was pleasant. The house was really disappointing with just a few photos hung on the walls. Cafe ok just like National Trust.

Only visited here to have lunch and wow what a lovely place. The outdoor seating for the cafe was beautiful and the food was great too. Will definitely be back to explore the gardens another day.

Spent a few hours here exploring the beautiful gardens. Had lunch in the cafe, food was very nice, and there were jugs of water for your table if you wanted one. There is a second hand book shop within the house that is crammed full of all kinds of books. The art exhibition upstairs was interesting.

Didn't get chance to go around the gardens but found a hidden gem of a hairdressers and beauty salon on site.
