Excellent grounds. Plenty to see. Lots of walking. Very dog friendly. Steeped in history. Only down side was some dog owners did not pick up after there dog, which is a shame as the gardens and walkways are very well kept.

Beautiful gardens, so many areas to visit. Gorgeous day when we went. We went to the ‘posh restaurant’ and was therefore given 1/2 price entry into the garden. Lunch was quite limited in choice but very tasty ! We had spinach roulade and lamb. Bread was home made and even still warm !!
main was vegetarian, meat or fish option. £45 for 2 main and 2 desert- not like a pub lunch where you feel well fed after !
And don’t get a lot for your money- but lunch view was stunning ! I think there is also a café with sandwiches (didn’t realise till after though)
You also now have access to the amazing house. Wheelchairs to borrow and plenty of parking.

Beautiful gardens. You can stall along these amazing trees and flowers. Landscape is beautiful. They have a coffee shop and treasure hunt maps for the kids.

Nice place but very different to what we expected from the website. Nothing in the house apart from secondhand books. Food and drink so expensive

Lovely walks in the wooded valley, the lakes were disappointing not as in the literature. Probably not a good time to visit as most of the colour had gone. Friendly staff and a good sandwich lunch.

The grounds are beautiful. The cafe quaint. Had a lovely stone baked pizza. The strawberry cake was delicious. The milkshakes however were a let down. I had a banana milkshake which was warm and somewhat tasteless. The rest of the trip was worthwhile though. A great place to visit.
