When the Covid-19 lockdown started I had a new prescription but no new spectacles. I needed non-allergenic frames for a pair of bifocals and another pair for reading and screen work. Wardale Williams were both helpful and fully professional in handling the interview in a safe way and showing off their range of products.
I have since bought from them the two pairs of lenses, mounted in excellent titanium frames; light, comfortable and non-irritant. I am very happy with the result.
Their service has been excellent in every way, competent, helpful and informative, listening to my concerns and responding in a balanced way without pressure. I recommend them highly.

The wardale William's branch in sudbury is so welcoming and professional it has to be recognised. From the 1st appointment to collecting your perfectly suited frames is flawless . The team in sudbury are so helpful and attentive , they go far above the level expected.

On a 2nd visit where I called in hoping to get some advice I was lucky to see Mark who checked both of my eye's even though I had gone in about one. He was so helpful and gave me good advice. Went into Sudbury branch convinced I would need glasses after six years free following cataract operation on both eyes. Delighted to say I was told that although my eyesight could be marginally tweaked with the aid of spectacles it was still more than adequate for reading and driving. After more than 55 years of spectacle/contact lens wearing I am overjoyed to be told that I still don't need them - at least not for the moment. I am genuinely touched by the honesty of the practice - had I been told I now needed glasses, I would have had no reason to doubt them - but also at the professionalism, politeness and punctuality of the entire experience from booking the appointment, to being seen bang on time, to having everything explained to me succinctly and professionally. I'm fairly sure at some time in the future I will once again have to wear a visual aid of one sort or another. When that time comes I will at least have the consolation of knowing where to go to get the best possible service. Very impressed indeed!!

Wonderful opticians: great service, fantastic selection of frames, and honest and open about pricing. It's great to go to an independent opticians that has a range of frames that you won't see elsewhere in the area (even if you personally don't need a new pair of frames). Very thorough eye test with the latest equipment that makes you feel in very safe hands. Thank you!

Courteous helpful polite, but above all so friendly. Nothing has been too much trouble. Having been a customer for 30 years it has always been the same. Whenever I have a problem, they go out of their way to help.I would recommend Wardales and personally give them 10 stars!

I have been a patient here since 1980. The care and professional standards are second to none. Staff always efficient, friendly and experts in eye care. Since moving away from Sudbury, I travel a 3 hour round trip for appointments and it’s worth doing for the reassurance and peace of mind as well

Such a friendly service with Jo who thoroughly tested my eyes explaining every aspect as she went. She put me totally at ease and even made the experience fun. I always worried about having my eyes tested but with Jo I felt fine.
Amanda then advised me in my selection of frames. I actually kept my driving specs the same but she will fit my new lenses while I wait so that I am able to carry on driving with them with the existing lenses. My new reading frames are really nice and Amanda was very thorough in her advise about them and measuring them so that they will fit perfectly. Amanda, was like Jo, was very efficient, kind and friendly giving a personal service which is important to me.
Having collected my new specs and had the lenses changed for driving I really feel the benefit of having my prescription updated.
