Youngest member of our St Neots Dragon Boat Team gets his first National Race Day
See your Short Film on the Big Screen Organisers of the St Neots Film Festival are calling for film submissions. Selected films will be shown at the St Neots Film Festival hosted at Cineworld, St Neots.
During the week 19th August 2015 to 23rd August 2015, the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF see www.idbf.org) will be holding the 12th World Nations Championships for Dragon Boat racing. The event will be held in the Niagara region of Canada and will have participation from across the globe. Racing takes place primarily in 4 categories; Premier racers, Senior racers (over 40 years of age) Under 24s and Junior racers (under 18 years of age). Great Britain will be represented at the World Championships in all categories. The British Dragon Boat Association (BDA) held time trials on the weekend of 21st and 22nd March for final selection of elite Premier class paddlers at the St Neots Dragon Boat Team’s home venue on the River Great Ouse, based out of the town’s Rowing Club. St Neots based Gavin Sinclair, who is a paddler and coach with the St Neots Dragon Boat Team was successful in winning an unconditional offer of a place in the final GB elite Premier squad to go to Canada.
