On the 29th November 2015, the British Davis Cup Team wrote their names in history by winning the Davis Cup for the first time in 79 years, after Andy Murray beat Belgium's David Goffin to clinch the decisive point in Ghent.
The last time Great Britain won the Davis Cup was in 1936 when Bunny Austin and Fred Perry helped them beat Australia at that time, Stanley Baldwin was Prime Minister, King Edward VIII was on the throne and Italy were football's World Champions!
In achieving the incredible feat and becoming world champions, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) are fortunate enough to now be in possession of this wonderful trophy and have the opportunity to showcase it and inspire people across the country to get involved in our great game.
West Warwickshire Sports Club are to be a host venue for the Davis Cup Tour of the famous trophy.
The local community will have the opportunity to view the trophy from 6pm to 8pm on Monday 29th February at the Club.
The viewing of the trophy at the club is great news for both West Warwickshire Sports Club and Solihull.
For further information about this great occasion contact the club or visit their website.
