There may still be a recession, but you would never know it to look at Solihull this week and with Christmas almost upon us it's time to get out and see what Solihull has to offer.
Two of the architects of the Christmas festivities in Solihull got together to toast the better-than-expected success of the German Market in Mell Square and the lights throughout the town centre.
On Saturday November 28 the festivities launch with the opening of the German Market in Mell Square, the Christmas lights switch-on, special events in Touchwood and street entertainment throughout the town centre.
Nearly 500 businesses in Solihull town centre can find out for themselves exactly what the proposed business improvement district (BID) means to them at a special launch event for the business plan.
