Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre is an educational and entertaining tourist attraction near Shrewsbury that tells the story of the area. A superb family day out!
We really enjoyed our visit to the discovery centre. It is a locally run and charity funded centre. The mammoth exhibition was very interesting and the exact replica mammoth very impressive. The grounds down to the river are lovely to walk and the local scenery is fantastic. The excellent cafe is also well worth a visit. In all it is a brilliant asset to the local area. Highly recommended.

Acton Scott Historic Working Farm is a tourist attraction near Shrewsbury that has so much to offer to everyone. From family days out to school trips, see what work is done in a real Victorian farm and have a go yourself!
Despite the rainy weather, it was a lovey day out! It was way better then I anticipated it to be, lots of demonstrations were going on throughout the day, and everything seemed to be really well done.
