Service engineers at a leading Shrewsbury-based caravan and motorhome dealership have had their workshops and equipment upgraded in time for a surge of work leading into the new caravanning season.

Salop Leisure closed its workshops the week before Christmas to allow the makeover, with new work benches and additional equipment installed. The investment is designed to ensure that the company continues to provide an industry-leading service to customers.

The workshops, staffed by a team of 21, are open seven days a week to make it easier for customers to have their caravans and motorhomes serviced and repaired. Salop Leisure has the largest touring caravan and motorhome accident repair centre in the West Midlands, Cheshire and Wales.

“The key to our success is the highly skilled and experienced team of engineers that we have assembled and our constant focus on providing quality customer service,” said Tony Bywater, Salop Leisure’s chairman.

“The workshops upgrade has given our staff a much improved working environment and additional equipment to help them exceed the already high standards of workmanship and customer care that we pride ourselves on.

“Customers really appreciate being able to bring in their caravan or motorhome on a Saturday or Sunday. Previously, they had to take time off work during the week.”
