Salop Leisure’s sales executive Paul Simpson recorded the most sales of Diamondbrite paint and upholstery protection for motorhomes, caravans and campervans at the recent Motorhome and Caravan Show at the NEC, Birmingham.

Working on the Swift Group stand at the week-long show, Paul and his sales colleagues from Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury enjoyed record touring caravan and motorhome sales totalling £1.2 million.

Eighty-five per cent of the customers who bought caravans and motorhomes from him opted to purchase Diamondbrite protection.

“The main benefits of Diamondbrite are that you never need to polish your caravan again and internal protection removes the risk of spillages and stains on the upholstery,” said Paul. “Diamondbrite is unique in that it offers a lifetime guarantee, so it really is an easy sell.

“When customers are spending between £20,000 and £50,000 on a caravan, motorhome or campervan, the treatment costs very little by comparison and the benefits are great.”

Paul said he spoke to hundreds of people during the show and the sales secured were from first time buyers and existing customers upgrading their caravan or motorhome.

“Staycationing is very much on the up, as a lot of the people I spoke to are looking to holiday in the UK,” he added. “There was a noticeable increase in motorhome sales to customers who were using part of their pension pot to make the investment.”
