A GCSE student is inspired by top caravan dealership in Shrewsbury to base her designs on a caravan her family purchased from Salop Leisure.

Student Kelly Richardson loves her parents’ touring caravan so much that it inspired her to make a model of it for her GCSE resistant materials course.
Kelly, 16, a pupil of Ysgol y Grango at Rhos, near Wrexham, came up with five designs for the ‘gadget tidy’ but chose the mini Bailey Pageant caravan to store her Xbox, 12 games, 2 Xbox controllers and nine CDs.
She took six months to make the ‘gadget tidy’, marks for which will go towards her final examination mark in June.
Visiting Caravan Dealership
Her parents, Simon and Heather, who live in Johnstown, Wrexham, bought the pre-owned Bailey Pageant from award-winning Shrewsbury caravan dealership Salop Leisure earlier this year.
Kelly and her parents paid a visit to Salop Leisure to show sales executive George Harris the model this week.
“When I told my parents that I was making the gadget tidy to a design of the caravan, they didn’t really expect it to be as big as it was,” said Kelly, who has her sights set on a career linked to design work. “We love our new caravan and are looking forward to going to Barmouth on holiday in it this summer.”
