A leisure company has received a welcome boost with news that all five of its touring caravan and motorhome parks across Shropshire and North Wales have made it into a Top 100 Sites Guide.

Following the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, it was just the news that Shrewsbury-based Morris Leisure and its staff were looking for as they prepare to welcome back caravanners and motorhome owners to their five-star parks.

The parks have been named as finalists for the fourth consecutive year in the Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome Top 100 Sites Guide.

Morris Leisure owns Stanmore Hall Touring Park at Bridgnorth, Ludlow Touring Park at Ludlow, Oxon Hall Touring Park at Shrewsbury, Llanberis Touring Park at Llanberis and Riverside Touring and Holiday Park at Betws-y-coed.

Sarah Wakely, editor-in-chief of Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome, said a record number of more than 10,000 caravanners, motorcaravanners and campers contributed to the annual survey to determine the Top 100, best in Britain list.

The guide, which can be downloaded at www.practicalcaravan.com, was established more than a decade ago to recognise the efforts of site owners and wardens to provide caravanners and motorcaravanners with fantastic holidays.

“Each year, the Top 100 attracts thousands of responses, which shows just how highly the people who stay on sites value our guide. As well as campsites for touring caravans and motorhomes, our guide also features the very best sites for static caravans, holiday homes, park lodges and tents,” she added

“What’s more, for this year we’ve also included a directory of other sites, listed by region, meaning that our guide is the must-read publication for everyone planning to tour in the UK over the coming year.”

Edward Goddard, Morris Leisure’s managing director, said: “After a challenging last few months due to the Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, it’s fantastic to receive the positive news that all our touring parks are included in the Top 100 Sites Guide for the fourth year in a row.

“We are very proud of the high standards set at all our parks and delighted that caravanners and motorhome owners have supported them again in the annual survey.

“Inclusion in the Top 100 Sites Guide acknowledges the hard work and enthusiasm of all our staff who maintain the high standards and ensure a warm welcome to every customer. It should also be noted that the parks make an important contribution to the communities and local economy, where they are located.”
