A dozen charities are being invited to adopt and decorate a Christmas tree in the showroom at a Shrewsbury leisure company to boost their fundraising.

For the first time last year, Salop Leisure invited charities to take charge of a Christmas tree and leave a collection box alongside it where visitors could leave a donation.

This year, Salop Leisure is planning an extended programme of events for its Salop Christmas Adventure and is expecting even more visitors to its showroom.

On a first come, first served basis, the first dozen charities that apply will be given the chance to adopt and decorate a Christmas tree. The closing date for applications is Monday, November 26 and the selected charities will be invited to decorate their trees on Wednesday, November 28.

Charities are asked to apply to: Christmas Charity Trees, Ed Glover, Marketing Manager, Salop Leisure, Emstrey, Shrewsbury SY5 6QS or email: ed.glover@salopleisure.co.uk.
