A Shropshire care company has decided to smash through the current salaries for care staff and introduce whopping pay rises of up to 55% above minimum wage.
The full line up for this year’s Shrewsbury International Comedy Festival (SICFest) has been announced, with a host of new faces plus returning favourites to keep the county town amused.

A charity fun run in Shrewsbury, which attracted 280 runners dressed as Santa and his elves earlier this month, has raised £500 to support the work of Shrewsbury Town in the Community.
Plans are well under way for the DarwIN Shrewsbury Festival in 2020 - which will include a rare chance to see some of Darwin’s original letters and books at Shrewsbury School.
Nearly 300 adults and children turned a leisure company red and green as they
dressed up as Santa and his elves to take part in a charity fun run in Shrewsbury on Sunday.
