Easy to arrange. Excellent service on the phone to renew. The renewals done at a competitive price. We like having a proposal through the post, though, to decide on whether to renew. We have to ask for this, so we know in advance of renewal, what the price is. We also have to pay an increased arrangement fee, in spite of having 5 policies with this company. I think there could be more leeway for a reduction on multiple policies. Otherwise we are happy with the service.

Before Howdens took over, I was with A-Plan for several years at the Maidstone branch. I saw no need to change from the office staff that i was used to and had no problems with, to another location. As Howden Insurance is the new 'A-Plan', then I am happy to stay with Howden Insurance.

The renewal of my motor cover in January was handled very speedily and efficiently. Before that, in December, Howden's representative gave exceptional service when I wanted to change my car at very short notice and the change of cover was dealt with calmly and expeditiously despite this being late afternoon shortly before the New Year break.
