I was a customer of A-Plan Insurance for many decades before they were taken over by Howden Insurance. Mostly I am happy with the service they provide but there was one occasion where they fell short of my expectations. I was told that I had to fill in a request form online but eventually I was assisted by a team member who was very helpful.
As an older customer, doing things online is not always very helpful.

I spoke on the telephone firstly to Howden Insurance. The advisor greatly helped me in getting an insurance for my car at a vastly reduced rate. He emailed me the next day to say he had found an insurance more suited to me and my car and slightly reduced again. I went in that afternoon and paid for my insurance.
I would greatly advise others to go to this Insurance Company. My husband will also contact Howden Insurance when his vehicle comes up for renewal.

It was great to deal with a person instead of a machine. Greg was just brilliant, he was very informative, told me in language the layman can understand.
