A plan .now the new Howden . I’ve been with this company for a number of years . And service has been good. The pricing was very high .after talking with them we seem to get over the problem of Prices .We came to a new price. Still high but about the same price as other.

I would have given 5 stars, ( my motorcycle insured through you and happy with that) having to pay £77 a month for car insurance at my age is disappointing, 2 claims in last 5 years, the one in 2020 I was in supermarket when woman runs in to my legally parked car in shop car park, her insurance paid for all damage but I'm penalised. Dec 2023 car damaged by hitting double pot hole on a dark unlit road. No money paid out to me in either incident but still penalised. Very disappointed

we use Howdens as prefer face-to-face or phone conversations to online. Adviser was knowledgeable, and checked info as necessary. Paperwork in the post, and also in Vault for online access. Price seemed good. As a broker they check several company prices to get the best for my circxs.

When looking to renew insurance policies like most people you start with the online comparison sites. And yes there are some low cost options but with reviews that do not inspire confidence. At last with Howden ( A Plan as was) you get to talk to a real person who can answer those queries and questions that web site forms never cover. Yes you may pay a bit more but there's comfort that some one else does the research and knowing that there's always some one at the end of the phone line when help is needed. So why not 5 stars Well nobody gets 5 stars unless there giving insurance away for nothing.
