After SAGA refused to insure me, with no convictions or any problems, I suspect the £35K value of the vehicle was off putting. I contacted via the garage where I bought my new vehicle and A Plan, now Howden, came along and OK let's go. I've been with them ever since and would be happy to recommend the company to anyone.

It’s not easy to renew policies by phone. I was told twice that all the ‘renewals’ staff were busy but that someone would call me back. No-one did on either occasion. The next time I phoned I mentioned this problem and was immediately put through to a member of staff who was very helpful, polite and efficient.

The level of the price rice to my premium was outrageous! Although the experience of their service as A-Plan was very good, their take over as Howden has added unbelievably to their margins. It was nevessary to get rival auotes who offered the same insurance companies at significantly reduced prices to make them realise others are available to which Howden then reduced their remewal.

Easy to renew, shame about the price rise but that is the way of things at present. The man was very polite and helpful throughout and happy to check out my queries. All my queries were cost related as I like many others are staggered by the huge increases in premiums. I was with A plan for many years without complaint and I am very pleased to see Howdens, the new name for A plan has moved forward in the same way. “Never alter the way of something that works well” I look forward to the service continuing as ever before. Outstanding customer service from Craig, who understood the pressure I was under due to a house move and a husband who was very poorly.
