Great customer care, where you get to speak to an informed member of staff instead of being forced into doing everything online. They know their market and its nuances and prioritise quality. There is no hard sell or ‘computer says’ responses. They do not attempt to lure customers in with the bottom line but rather ensure you have suitable cover that will meet your needs when the time comes. They are also great at assisting when you need to make a claim. You may not get the cheapest quotes but you’ll get insurance that is worth having that won’t catch you out with the fine print.

This past year, I have been working with Howden Insurance with my home and contents policy. After storm and water damage both outside and now inside the house, Aimee has taken much care and time with phoning me to check on not just progress of my claim, but also my well-being. Her kindness and understanding is greatly appreciated. Aimee has gone above and beyond and I cannot thank her enough for all her help.

Taking out insurance with Howdens was a pleasure, I got to speak to a real person who was not only real but knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. I didn't shop around much to get price comparisons, after one frustrating call to another provider I felt the service from Howdens outweighed any potential cost differences.

I had previously been with Howden Insurance formerly known as A-Plan, but last year they were unable to provide a competitive quote for my car. I tried them again this year and Greg managed to find me an acceptable quote with a minimum increase over my previous insurance. I have always had good service from Howden (A-Plan) Staff even though they cannot always get the best quotes.
Today 25/06/2024 I had additional insurance needs for my wife's car and Laurie Arkle was able to come with another great price and retain our business.

I was introduced to Howdens via a recommendation and I must say it was a very pleasant experience even though by the end I had to part with some of my hard earned cash. The chap that I dealt with, Thomas Landsdell was extremely thorough, knowledgeable and courteous and worked through the quote with me in great detail. The quotation that he provided was not the cheapest but I decided to go with Howden on the basis that the after sales care from a broker is far better.
