Pleasant enough staff but there's no sense that, when they contact us to discuss renewal, they have any familiarity with our case. The standard phrase about calling to discuss options is frustrating. It does not apply as we are trapped in a long-running subsidence claim and can't switch insurers much as we would like to get away from awful loss adjusters IG.
We were originally with Brownhill where we had a consistent, named contact who was more actively supportive. We have been 'moved' twice, which we assumed was because Brownhill had been bought out. However we note that it still exists, which is confusing.

Great company to deal with, easy to add any extras to the car policy, would have given 5 stars but for the sharp price increase, I realise pretty much all insurance has risen steeply, but thought it was a bit to much of a hike, but sticking with them because of the great service and hope the prices come down next year

I have no reason to think I will have poor service from this company I have dealt with in the past. The acid test will come if I need to make a claim under my house policy but I am pretty confident that my best interests will be looked after.

I have just taken out car insurance with Howden. I dealt with Amy who was fantastic. Amy managed to get me an excellent deal and her customer care was fantastic. I would highly recommend Amy for car insurance quotes.

Always a pleasure to deal with the people at Howden's for my insurance needs. I much prefer to deal with a person who can answer any questions rather than struggle to do these things online. It is also a big comfort knowing that I can call them if ever I need to make a claim or any other matter crops up.
