I thought I would try going through a broker to compare the renewal premium from Privilege (£730) with Confused (£478) and obtaining a quote through Howdens.
Howdens were able to match the lowest Confused quote but with far better benefits, a recognised insurance company and superb customer service. I now have a dedicated person I can contact with any query. Fantastic saving of £250

Ben was really efficient. He was extremely fluent and didn’t waste time or a word. I know that he has a script to run through and many times insurance companies have managed to wind me up by their scripted conversations. He did what he had to with good humour and so efficiently that I came off the phone delighted to remain with you. My wife heard our exchanges and commented “He was really switched on”. A great credit to your company. He should go far.

Arranged my insurance with a real person over the phone. Liam found me a great policy with AXA for around £400 cheaper than anything I got offered on a comparison site, if you need van insurance, give them a call

One of the advisors that I spoke to Harry Hopkins was very helpful and polite and I would definitely deal with him again. However I spoke to another advisory on the same day (22.12.25) and I am still waiting for him to phone me back with a quotation (06.01.26)
It seems to be that when Howdens are taking money they are helpful but when you need information / quotes from them, that are not interested.
