Felt backed into a corner and overcharged when taking out insurance for a new car I bought. I needed the insurance to start from the same day I phoned as I was picking new car up from dealer not long after (on same day). Still waiting on paper copy of these documents being sent to me for the insurance for the new car, which I requested at the time. Also on same day I asked for insurance to expire midnight for car I traded in and no longer have, only to have a missed call this afternoon with voicemail asking if it should still be cancelled!!

Insurance costs are increasing exponentially - multiple reasons; increasing costs for repairs, uninsured drivers, replacing written off EV’s etc plus increasing provider costs - I engaged with Howden’s and they worked hard to bring my costs down (saving for year £320) against large name providers and this for equitable cover (eg. same voluntary and compulsory excess) - so pleased - Alex represented the business very well - thank you.

I have been a house and car insurance client of Howden's Epsom for a number of years. I have always found them very reliable, helpful, friendly and professional. The reassurance gained by using an excellent broker like Howden's is worth every penny of the relatively small extra cost of having professional guidance rather than chancing the Internet alone. Cheaper is not always better, particularly with insurance.
Today I was helped to renew my house insurance in an excellent manner by Talia, who did a brilliant job, was delightful to speak with and saved me money. I shall be renewing my car insurance through Howden's in due course.

I previously had cover for my property and two cars with a single insurer who notified its withdrawal from the car market at renewal this month.
The ability to discuss my needs with a knowledgeable person, rather than use a comparison site, or similar, appealed and Sonia Dunsdon at the Peterborough office provided excellent service in this respect. Ultimately I arranged the replacement cover at acceptable premiums and also moved my property cover given the considerable saving on offer for that element too.

Kerry C has been absolutely fantastic in helping me with choosing my policy and answering various questions on the policy itself. It's been a pleasure to deal with Howdens, and I think it's this distinction with a dedicated agent and Broker who knows their product and can get answers, as opposed to a less personal, less bespoke service you might get elsewhere. That's the value that Howdens and Kerry in particular demonstrated to me.
