I wanted to renew my static caravan insurance in December, the renewal information provided was ambiguous, I had to call more than once for clarification, and it took over 45 minutes on a call for me to be able to complete the renewal. It was a very frustrating experience.

I have used Howdens ( formerly A Plan ) for in excess of 10 years re both my motor insurance and home insurance. This afternoon I arranged my annual motor insurance with Kane Tipton from the Macclesfield office. He was most helpful, professional and knowledgeable which made this a straightforward experience for me. I am also reassured by the fact that if I have a problem/query I can just pick up the telephone and speak to him directly about my issue.

To be honest, having Howdens contactable by phone, and calling in at their office in Cheltenham so easy… this is a real plus against the online only companies etc. And service is great, no complaints ! I never give a 100% star award. You always leave a little room for improvement, so 4.9 is my final star selection !!

I received my new car insurance quote and found it much higher than last year. On having a conversation with a Howden rep I was able to secure a much more acceptable quote through another of their insurance companies.
