The usual reminder of renewal had not arrived ( only a few days to go). I telephoned and ran through the familiar detail requirements relating to continued cover from specialist underwriters KGM ( I have used over 5 decades). A marginal premium increase made the easy decision to renew immediately.
The only negative was the "recitation" of the prescribed declarations - both the speed and volume - requiring repeats. Young advisers tend to miss customers' age, from the date of birth - rattlings things off at low volume and high speed several times, takes longer than a single,clear and concise delivery.

Went with Howdens insurance after being recommended by my partner. Saved me over £300 from my previous company and still had all the extras. Very friendly, helpful customer service, easy to get a quote. Haven't used for breakdown as yet.
