I wandered in off the street never having used a place like this before so was unsure what to expect. The lady whom I spoke to was very friendly to speak to, explaining things I was unsure of. I was told someone would get back to me later in the day with a quote.
An hour or so later a gentleman phoned me with a quote from a reputable insurance company which was a great deal cheaper than Saga quoted. I went with the quote and paid it there and then, receiving the paper work by email soon after. They also store your paper work in a vault.
I was given no hard sales talk nor was I pushed into paying for something I did not want. There was talk of insurance for other products, but no hard sell. It was simply when it needs renewing think of us. I prefer this to someone pushing me for a sale. We would use them again.

Recently changed Policy Holder/Main Driver on car insurance. Great help from the Head Office which ensured that the 60% No Claims Bonus was transferred as well. A pleasure to deal with the Winchester Office.

What can I say? My husband and I are in a very difficult position with company car lacking no claims and a couple of very unfortunate criminal damage claims recently. I spent all afternoon trying to find insurance under £2k. Miroe Phillips gets on the call with me from Howden and is genuinely the best person I've had to deal with all day. I'm actually a bit sad that I ended up finding a cheaper quote last minute but you can bet I'll be coming back to them for our renewal.
He explained so much more about the claims I had, how it worked, what it's affecting etc. He explored as many options to draw upon to save us money as possible. I really feel like he worked damn hard and well to get us the quote he did and apart from the last minute quote from my husband's previous provider that could take his NCB from just over 2 years ago into account, it was the best quote by far we had received.
I'm not joking, GIVE MIROE PHILLIPS A BONUS! He most certainly deserves it after having to deal with me last thing on a Friday with an awkward case and in the end getting pipped by one quote which is by far not his fault. He has most certainly solidified Howdens as somewhere I will be going to in future for our insurance needs and I'm very interested to see what can be offered next year when we will hopefully be in a much better position.
So sorry we didn't end up going for that quote but both my husband and I are very impressed with the support, dedication and hard work. Please give him a bonus or something nice because I'm so grateful and he is fantastic. I fully anticipate we will be a future customer!

I have used A Plan for many years for motor car, motorcycle, and house insurance. Not all branches process all types of insurance, so when I needed caravan insurance, I had to contact the Bromsgrove branch. I was fortunate enough to speak to Lewis Smith who took a detailed note of my requirements, even prompting me to think of things that had not occurred to me. He then took the time necessary to put together an extremely competitive quote, contacting me when he said he would.
As I said in the title, the name may have changed, but it is still the good old fashioned A Plan service!
