Good focus on my circumstances & seeking a deal which was comparable to what I had been quoted by my existing insurer. The consultant involved, who secured insurance for me on another vehicle earlier in the year when I left a corporate scheme on retirement, was friendly, helpful & clearly keen to do the business. Received a policy renewal price from our insurance company. This had a £75 price increase. Spoke to them on the telephone and they reduced it by £15. Decided to try Howden in their shop in Poole. Spoke to an assistant who was extremely helpful. They called back a day later and had found a company I had heard of which matched and exceeded some points on my policy. This was £10 cheaper than the price I had payed the year before. Easy to talk to. Very friendly and are local which is a great help.

Daniel made it his mission to get a competitive car insurance quote after LV took our business for granted one too many times. He saved us nearly £100 on our original quote this year and effectively, £140+ as we decided to pay up front without instalments. He said he would try and help with the Home Insurance next year which would be great and it is nice to have a local named contact if any issues on claims arise rather than being on the end of the phone to a call centre 200 miles away.
