Through a bad experience arranging motor insurance on-line, when the renewal was due I arranged cover through Howden Insurance in Solihull. I can't speak highly enough of the service I received from Nigel and Amy.

The brief was complicated; I needed to insure a car that will almost certainly be sold within a year. I couldn’t find a company willing to give cover for a partial year or arrange a money back option. So, prior to Howdens, I only managed to get quotes for a whole year.
It took time but Kristella (at the Bicester branch) was patient and seemed to enjoy the challenge. It payed off as she managed to get a great ‘money back’ deal. It was only approximately 15% more than the best ‘non flexible’ quote I could get - brilliant, especially as my wife was also included as an extra driver.

Quiet sensible man who listened carefully, went away and found an acceptable quote within about a quarter of an hour. I already had a lower quote from another agent so I knew the approx cost but it had unacceptable conditions. Howdens guy understood why those conditions were impossible for a classic car and did not have any such conditions in the quote. So Howdens got our business.
