Unlike my previous insurers who give you a quote and then when you look elsewhere give you a better one . Not having that . You gave me your best offer the first time and as it wasn't that much more because of your honesty I went with you , Howdens .

Although they were unable to beat the policy I took out today, I cannot speak highly enough of Charlie Jones at the Witney, Oxford branch who spent so much time finding out exactly what I was looking for and did her absolute best to try and match / beat my quote. The customer service by this colleague was unmatched. Whilst I won't be a customer for this year, I will definitely be trying again next year. I hope Howden acknowledge what a great customer service team they have as interactions this positive for stressful things like insurance are rare. Thank you Charlie!

Very friendly polite agents, particularly Emma Stanton who went the extra mile to try and maintain my car insurance quote on a new vehicle but was unable to match my quote. I have been a longstanding customer for over 40 years. Hopefully in the future I may try again next year, but had no choice but to cancel due to the price I obtained which was considerably cheaper.

I have wanted to review the insurance on my two cars for many years - but each year I have renewed assuming that I could not reduce annual cost.
This year I went to Howden in Camberley and in order to compare their quotation for 2024/25 with that already received. Within a few minutes I received quotations on both cars that were substantially below my renewal quotation from my existing insurer.
Ben at Howden produced detailed explanations as to the reasons why their quotations were below my original quotes. I immediately accepted Howden’s quotation - and will now compare my existing household insurance quotation with a quotation from Howden.
Why haven’t I done this before? Good question to which I have no answer!
