I was looking to insure a property that was in probate. As none of the main Insurance companies did probate Ins. Howdens were recommended. So I contacted them and was passed through to their York office. I spoke to Donna, told her of the situation, she was so helpful and sympathetic throughout the conversation, which is what you need when dealing with the loss of a family member and all stress that come's with it. Donna explained everything clearly, no pushy sales talk. So I Would definitely recommend Howdens just for their friendly service, also whenever I rang them the phone was answered very quickly.

Charlie Fowler was the agent that helped me and his customer service was exemplary. He answered all my questions and was very patient. He was very polite when I initially said I would be using my original insurer and wished me well. When I changed my mind because I felt the Howden Insurance cover better suited my needs he was approachable, thorough and professional. He was a credit to the company.

Great customer service from Ami. She provided a very acceptable price for my car insurance and had only a week earlier provided excellent service for my wife’s car insurance.
The prices offered are really good and the actual staff appear to be of a higher caliber to other companies.

I had been gathering quotations for renewal of my car insurance (online and by phone with previous insurers) when I received a letter in the post from Howden and thought I'd "give them a try".
I spoke with Stephanie on the phone and she was extremely helpful, thorough and friendly; and one aspect that particularly appealed is that they are a "local" insurance broker. The quote was slightly higher than my renewal but Stephanie managed to get as close to that figure as possible and I decided to take up the policy. I was extremely happy with the service provided.

Just renewed my car insurance with the amazing Sam at Howden Insurance and he was fantastic. After bracing myself when picking up the phone to hear what my car insurance might be for the year ahead he very calmly went through the market options available to me and came up with possibly the deal of the century that I was just not expecting that included breakdown cover as well! He was very polite, friendly, efficient, affable and didn't talk over me at all - in fact everything you would want a person doing business with to be. Superb in every.
