Knowledgeable, approachable staff patiently answered our questions and waited for decisions to be made, while we were reminded that we were under no pressure. Explanations about the terminology and options were clear and we were assured that we could pay the premium when convienient to us rather than on the spot. The surroundings were comfortable. I would whole heartedly recommend a visit to a Howdens branch rather than depend upon a telephone or on-line consultation elsewhere.

I have recently changed cars and had to cancel my existing insurance at short notice, necessitating a new policy to cover 2 cars in the family within a few hours at a reasonable price. Howdens were vey quick off the mark and gave great individual service (Georgina Bates). It is reassuring to use a professional broker rather than rely on the comparison sites that often don’t mention insurers used by friends and relatives, which I have always found disconcerting.
