Amazing customer service from Richard Spenser. I was having a lot of trouble finding insurance for a good price for my M140i BMW even though i am 36 and have 19 years NCB i was still getting quoted hugely high prices E.G £1600 was the cheapest 😨. Richard worked his magic and with all my modifications got me an amazing quote of under a £1000.

We have been dealing with renewing my mums house insurance, which is part of her estate. I am in New Zealand. Time differences etc doesn’t make this easy. I have used Howden Insurance (A plan) for many years and they have always been friendly and helpful.
Today I spoke with Gabriel Woodhouse who was extremely helpful as trying to get my daughter who is a new driver into my insurance temporarily. This has been causing me a headache for the last week but today Gabriel took time looking and finally got back to me with the answer I was waiting for.
He was extremely polite throughout the numerous calls between us today.
A very big thank you goes out to him.

I started my long term relationship as a Plan A, born out of experience.
I started insurance with Life Insurance, then car and so on.
Initially I used the small local broker, then following modern fashion, direct with insurance companies via the Internet - “ a fools paradise for insurance”.
Why?
Insuring via a competent broker puts you, the customer, in control via your assured, contracted broker that has your back.
Your broker is contracted to press your case for compensation.
A large broker -such has Howden has leverage necessary to get, in your behalf, the best price possible (call it bulk buying).
The many benefits we have enjoyed by using Howden (previously A Plan) have repeatedly given us the best (lowest prices) for assured cover AND most importantly they made a normally complicated legitimate recovery of sums assured easy.
Just said “ please help us” and left the rest to Howden.
So, why are they so good?
They are staffed by well educated, trained and committed people. They are distributed across the country so you can just pop in.
Me? I use Bath and Bromsgrove and I don’t look anywhere else. I’ve developed professional/customer relationships with the long serving staff.
Why write this?
I just happen to be in a good mood because my car insurance has not increased in price this year for the same cover, Howden found the new (to me) insurance company.
Do what you like, I don’t mind. Just going to have a “free”glass of wine or 2 paid for my insurance saving quote.
Come to think of it, we might eat out.
Go, on, try them out and raise a glass to yourselves.
