This was my first experience of this company. My annual motor insurance arrived from my provider who although there had been no claim in the previous year increased by premium by over £150. I contacted Howden`s and James offered me better cover for less than I had paid the previous year. I was so impressed with his service that I asked him to quote for my home insurance and although the premium was slightly more than my existing provider was going to charge on renewal I accepted James`s quote taking into account his service level and the reassurance of knowing that if I need to make a claim I have a local and human contact to assist with the process. First class.

Dealing with Howdens was a real pleasure, over the last few years I have always used online searches to obtain my insurance but I find it a real pain most of the time as despite the websites that claim to check across the board for the best prices, there are many companies that aren't covered and you need to use their websites as well so it gets very time consuming and frustrating to keep checking all the different sites for a good deal.
I therefore popped into Howdens, spoke with Ryan who took all my details and then emailed me with a quote that he felt was best for my needs on a like for like basis with my renewal quote. In fact in some areas it improved on things such as lower excesses. Just to check I did do a search on a well known comparison site and to my surprise the quote I was given by then was higher than the quote from Howdens. Ryan was honest enough to say that they may not be able to beat all quotes on the various insurance policies I hold, but he certainly reduced my stress levels and time by carrying out all the checks for me and as a bonus reduced my premium. What's not to like, well done Howdens.
