The agent at the insurance brokers initially put forward a policy that was inappropriate as it was only for Landlords. The process of providing information was repetitive as the agent was unable to retain or recall information already provided. The final result was satisfactory, but it was a unnecessarily prolonged process.

After years of being a Company Car driver I was looking to insure a car in my own name for the first time since the 1980’s. Frankie was particularly helpful and managed to get me some no claims discount, based on my Company Car driving history. It was good to engage with a human, rather than a Bot!

I felt I had a really good experience when calling up to discuss my needs and get a quote and the price seemed reasonable in comparison to other quotes I had. However I was quite disappointed when I called up to accept the quote, only to find it didn't include some of the extras quotes from other companies included, making it hard to compare, and I felt I was bombarded with a number of add ons/up-selling tactics which felt like it spoilt the initial trust I'd developed with the company. I needed to sort insurance so didn't have time to go away again and review all of the add on costs compared to what other companies had quoted. I felt disappointed some of those things weren't already included. I felt it needed more transparency really.

I've just arranged my car insurance on 2 vehicles with Jane Rowe of Howden Insurance Fareham. Based on my experience I couldn't recommend them highly enough, Jane was extremely professional, friendly with a down to earth persona and was so clear in explaining everything to me. Added to this I received a very favourable premium compared to my outgoing insurance. A bit of good old fashioned service and the personal approach was very welcomed.
