I have had my car insurance with Howdens (ex APlan) in Salisbury for many years. I can't praise them enough. Always professional, knowledgeable, polite and happy to help. I had a small accident a few years ago, and the service they provided was outstanding. Car returned repaired after 1 week, and even had a courtesy call from the office directly after the incident asking if I was OK. This year,I had the pleasure of talking to Liam who went above and beyond to ensure I got the right cover for my renewal for the best price. Nothing was too much trouble.

Very expensive for my home & contents insurance renewal and then they wanted to try and make it a better quote when I had found a far better price with another brand. They should of given me the best price possible on the renewal quote and not just assume I’d be happy to be ripped off as they quoted well over £100 more than the quote I took elsewhere which was for the same if not better cover. Poor service, poor quote, poor telephone manners. I won’t be returning.

I contacted Howdens with some difficulty as I'm deaf and there's no online option to input my details for a quote.
I contacted Stuart via email who very kindly and patiently sent emails to me back and forth until he had the information needed. This took the best part of an afternoon and continued tge following morning which was stressful but I eventually received a quote which I accepted.
Being able to get a quote online and paying online is beneficial for people who can't hear on the phone so I feel that campervan and motorhome companies who only deal via phone are missing out on a market that is actually quite big.
