I have gradually shifted all my insurances over to A-Plan. I used to trawl through the comparison sites every year but was never sure what the results meant. With A-Plan you can talk to a real person, usually within a few seconds, and if you need to make a claim they will handle it on your behalf.

I have always found them honest and up front in all dealings, both car and house insurance. On the one time I had to make a claim on contents for accidental damage, they simply did it all for me after one initial call from me - and the end result was very satisfactory.
The last time I renewed my house insurance, I mentioned in passing a point about the cover that I was not sure about in a minor way. To my surprise the person I dealt with had checked the detail, unknown to me, and called me back to clear up the ambiguity. That extra effort really impressed me. They are excellent in their service.
