Recently I visited a branch of Howden’s in order to ask for a Home Insurance quote. I was most impressed by the thoroughness of the process and delighted to find that I could save £100 compared with a previous Quote from another company.

Very prompt response, they were very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of car insurance, however, they could not obtain a reasonable price for the inclusion of my 58yr old son onto my policy despite him having always been named on my policies.

I appreciated the courteous manner of staff members, but was rather annoyed by their attempts to get me to purchase various extras. This would have meant my premium would not be any cheaper than my existing policy. Having said that I was satisfied with the eventual end result.

Matt Chant at Howden was Brilliant.
Having been with Mercedes Insurance for 36 years, with a 16 Year NCB, a deer jumped across the road and caused £2650 of damage. I was told by MB Ins my NCB would be knocked one year. At renewal it was knocked back 5 years and the new premium went from £560 to £2,532! With an unprotected NCB. A nightmare!
Went to Howden and Matt was utterly brilliant checked out everything that could be done, and got me a protected NCB Policy for £660. I.e. a 74% Reduction . Utterly fantastic!

Matt really knew his stuff, and worked really hard to see what could be done to try and recover some of my NCB. I can not stress how attentive and hard working he was and a stunning result.
He saved me £1,872 a year … for 5 years till my bonus is back to 100% = £9,320 saving. I call that marvelous.

Lovely experience with Howden. Firstly I was able to speak with a real person, lovely friendly very helpful chap, call was answered promptly and premium was very reasonable. I have my house and car insurance with them, as has my mum now.

Howden insurance is always looking for the best price they can get you for your insurance. It might be a little bit more expensive than if you search for one yourself but it’s a lot less hassle and time consuming. If something would go wrong they’ll sort it for you. The persons you speak to on the phone are always very friendly and polite as well.
