Ruth in the Canterbury office was very helpful; she was cheerful and friendly, and explained exactly what she could do for me in the way of insurance, what it would cost, and how to proceed. It was a pleasant experience, and I was glad to to be able to work with a real person, not a faceless machine. A friend recommended Howden's very highly, and I was not disappointed.

April sorted out my insurance policy. She had excellent product knowledge and all along her advice was really good. Impressive customer care skills and i felt she really did care that I got the right policy. Communication with Howden was excellent I quickly received all the necessary documents. Overall it made it easy to get the right car insurance

I was initially pleased to go back to Howden (aka A-Plan) for my car insurance, although it takes too long to get through on the phone.
I got a superb price and policy for my classic Land Rover but then later discovered that they'd got my name wrong on HALF of my documents. Then I couldn't get back through to them to correct it. Such basic incompetence and poor accessibility needlessly wastes time and frustrates customers who, if like me, will feel that they carry the legal accountability for poor customer service.
UPDATE: Contacted me and corrected the error within 24 hours of this review. Amended to 3 stars.
